In the 14th century Bubonic Plague killed about 25 million people inEurope. That same deadly disease is back and it has appeared inNew Mexico. There is good news and bad news about it’s immergence in our country: it can be treated which is good news; but the bad news is even treated cases will lead to a mortality rate of up to 15%. We have this medieval disease here in our midst thanks to Barack Obama’s open borders policy.
Obama’s “immigration policy” is a fake just as he is. It is designed to appear to be “tough and effective” but actually only concentrates on deporting large ‘C’ “criminal illegal aliens” who number in the tens of thousands and ignores the small ‘C’ gardeners dishwashers and construction workers who number in the millions.
Because of Obama’s fake policy, which amounts to blanket amnesty to people he wants to see vote illegally for him and his Party, we now have a number of diseases attacking us that have been absent from our population for generations or have NEVER previously been discovered here on our shores.
This past week a case of Black Plague was confirmed inNew Mexico. That’s Black Plague as in deadly – very deadly to the young and old.
Here’s a list of other diseases brought to us by Obama’s open borders policy.
Malaria which was thought to be conquered inAmericain the 1940s with only soldiers returning from the Pacific War as sufferers is now back.
Dengue Fever which kills children is here for the first time.
Leprosy the deadly killer from ancient times, now traveling under the “modern” name of Hansen’s disease, while appearing here before Obama’s Administration has been detected in a multitude of cites priding themselves on being “Sanctuary Cities.”
Hepatitis A through E which kills by destroying its victim’s liver can be found here in substantial numbers.
Tuberculosis (TB) – while America has one of the lowest rates of TB in the world, Mexico’s rate is ten times ours and successful treatment can cost about $250,000. The thought of that is enough to stop a person cold.

This is a laughable article. Poorly written, misleading, with terrible syntactical and spelling errors, it indicates your total and complete lack of understanding of the epidemiology these diseases.
For the record: plague is enzootic in the American West, and human cases (which have occurred sporadically every year for decades) are almost always due to wild animal exposure, not exposure to immigrants.
Hepatitis A is almost never fatal and the other viral hepatitides are related to sexual or blood exposure, not exposure to Mexican immigrants.
Malaria is primarily imported by international travelers, with the recent occasional domestically-acquired cases having been traced to metropolitan areas (like the New Jersey cases a few years ago).
Leprosy's reservoir is the nine-banded armadillo, and in this country is transmitted to humans through contact with these animals.
Tuberculosis is endemic in the USA, and we began seeing an upswing in New York in the late 1970's. Obama's immigration policies have nothing to do with this.
I am second to nobody in my dislike of Obama, but this article is pure refuse, and only serves to discredit "Coach Is Right."
Yes of course you are right. There is NO danger from unvaccinated illegal aliens coming in to America EXCEPT that which WE expose the poor illegal aliens to. Ever hear of the Whooping Cough outbreak in Los Angles in 2010 that just disappeared from the media? How about Chagas disease I’ll bet a genius like you thinks it comes from infected indigenous animals. Did that come from the Eight Ringed armadillo or the three toes sloth found only in the Bronx or some other cause?

Chagas Disease is primarily spread by the bite of the reduviid beetle. There is no person-person transmission (except vertical transmission via breast milk.) Just learn to admit when you are wrong.
BTW, Newark Airport is a major international airport for metropolitan NYC – it is believed that mosquitos carrying malaria landed in planes at Newark.
Tuberculosis has existed in NYC for years (we saw cases all during my med student years and residency in the 1970's). And as far as "slum tourism", there was an outbreak of tuberculosis in a very exclusive girl's school in Greenwich CT a few years ago: the index case was the daughter of a very wealthy international banker – the family lived in Hong Kong for a few years, which is where the girl contracted tuberculosis.
You're out of your depth here, Coach.
PS: I read your article on Free Republic – as I said, I have no lo ve for Obama but I also have no love for distortion of the truth.
So there is NO connection between people who come to America bringing third world “hygienic” habits and the appearance of deadly diseases. Gee too bad you weren’t around in the days when Ellis Island was open. You could have told the officials to skip the medical exams of the immigrants arriving from Europe because YOU would have reassured them there were no diseases to be found among those coming in each day. But now according to you immigrants coming from places with NO sanitary facilities DON’T carry diseases into America. These diseases (if YOU allow that they come here at all) only arrive via wealthy business people and their families.
Think of all the time they wasted at Ellis Island!

I do not support cessation of medical screening for immigrants, Coach. Once you UNDERSTAND how a disease is spread, you use appropriate control measures. That is what the Public Health Service does. But that is not the issue.
The issue is that you posted an article that is so full of misinformation and hysteria that it makes conservatives look like boobs. This is the king of stuff done by the Left.
If instead you insist on accurate background research and employ writers who understand the topic, your arguments will be strong and unassailable.
As it is, this article makes you look like a loose cannon.

That is what the Public Health Service does.” So you don’t understand that assigning the 900 PHS officers the job of controlling 12 million illegal aliens some of whom are carrying deadly diseases AFTER they are here is not a good idea? Isn’t that akin to leaving your window open because you KNOW you can swat the flies that will come in? Even if you could swat every fly, why not just shut the window?
You and I differ in the way we prefer to fight. My essays and the ones of my staff are well researched and backed up by links. We don’t often put up material that is less than solid, but it is precisely because we have this standard that I’m not worried about the very rare misstep.
Please understand I do not accept your premise that diseases are NOT brought here by third world illegal aliens who live 12 to a room, cough on us and handle our food. Nevertheless, that should be abundantly clear and not worth revisiting.
Your concern about my looking like, “a loose cannon” means little to me. CiR provides solid conservative essays to hundreds of thousands of readers a year so the contribution we makes to the “fight” is beyond question, and I dare say probably a lot larger than most who comment on this page.
As to my mode of warfare I can only say I have no second thoughts about occasionally using hyperbole and fighting dirty. We have no one named Queensbury on our staff.

Coach, a fine reply to MFR,MD (an obvious "purist" who may be correct on some of the finer details like the Reduviid Beetle, but who consistently and conveniently misses the larger issue of the necessity for American States to actually have SOME control over who does, and who doesn't , get to enter their respective states….medical issues inclusive among the other criteria.
I accuse MFR,MD of medical pedantry to achieve the obfuscation of the obvious.
