Obama will end the war on terror as soon as he helps al Qaeda win it

The Obama Administration has finally come to the conclusion that Syrian dictator Assad has chemical weapons which he will use against al Qaeda aligned, Muslim Brotherhood backed insurgents and rebels. So after calling for an end to the war on terror, the White House resident has now ordered the U.S. military to develop a plan to assist Syrian rebels in an overthrow of the Assad regime. Once accomplished, Assad will be replaced with a Muslim Brotherhood puppet as seen in Egypt and Libya.

Obama’s military planners are developing plans for arming Syrian rebels and insurgents (al Qaeda terrorists) to fight the forces loyal to Assad. Current plans call for establishing a no-fly zone in Syria from bases located in Jordon. (1) A safe zone will be created near the Jordanian border to train and arm anti-Assad forces. However this proposal leaves Syrian anti-aircraft capabilities untouched. Unless Obama puppet master (Valerie Jarrett) makes a deal with Vladimir Putin, this becomes a very dangerous idea. After all, if Syrian forces feel threatened they will shoot. This is what happens when plans are made by White House Lawyers rather than military professionals.

Of course, premier senate RINO John McCain is siding with the Free Syrian Army rebels, ignoring their al Qaeda link. (3) With the American Military standing down–the victim of massive budget cuts ostensibly the result of sequestration–where is this administration getting the money to support our enemies? The Nobel Peace Prize winner seems to enjoy overthrowing dictators and replacing them with Muslim Brotherhood approved thugs. Once Jordon falls under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood, Israel will be the next target. An anti-Semite’s dream and God knows this administration has a few on its payroll.

Amazing, the thought processes of Barack Obama. He wants to end the war on terror yet plans to arm al Qaeda in Syria. (2) His office will unleash the assets that had been created to spy on terrorists and turn those assets on the American people. How is that hope and change working for you!

The NSA—America’s new Secret Police

Last February Maxine Waters in an interview stated “The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” (1) She continued to reveal “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before”. This week Americans were surprised to learn that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting phone call information of American Verizon customers. Like all of the recent Obama Administration scandals, this story wasn’t released by the American media but by the British Press. (2)

PRISM

“PRISM” is a corporate partnership between the FBI, NSA and several large Internet providers to collect any and all electronic communications, including those between Americans. In accordance with federal law, American internet companies are required to provide user information to government and law enforcement officials upon request. PRISM is a back door to allow the NSA and FBI direct access to commercial servers at any time with the “assistance of communications providers in the US”. (5) This program is a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment and represents the death of privacy. We have lost our security and liberties. This is the Obama database that Rep Waters described.

National Security Agency

The National Security Agency (NSA) was created as part of the Department of Defense; its purpose, to collect electronic communications from hostile foreign nations. The Agency’s task is to safeguard the United States from external attack. In addition to collection, the NSA is responsible for protecting America’s secure communication networks. One of the Agency’s core values is to operate as a “Responsible Citizen”. Being a “Responsible Citizen” is to “carry out missions in ways that are consistent with the Nation’s values and laws. Earning the American public’s trust is paramount”. (4)As of this week the NSA has lost American public’s faith and trust.

The NSA was not created to spy on Americans but it clearly has and this week the leadership of the Agency must do some soul searching. These people have besmirched the legacy of the NSA and the Department of Defense.

The left will spin this story to deflect blame from the Obama Regime by placing it on the previous Administration. The fact is, Obama and Holder ignored the intent of the Patriot Act and used government resources against American Citizens. If it were not for the British Press, Americans would have never learned of the NSA’s corrupt dealings. Once again, a thoroughly biased American media has failed to do its job. The American people have lost their right to privacy as a result.

SSgt Bales will plead guilty to Afghan killings, hope to avoid death penalty

In a plea agreement revealed on Thursday, Staff Sgt. Robert Bales has agreed to plead guilty to the killing of 16 Afghan Civilians last year. Bales hopes to avoid the death penalty with the deal. The plea hearing is set for June 5^thand the deal has yet to be accepted by the presiding judge. Army prosecutors are seeking the death penalty and from the beginning, Afghan citizens have demanded that Bales be executed. They see the plea deal as breaking a promise. (1)

The deal requires SSgt Bales to present a full account of the murders he committed and prove to the presiding judge that he clearly understands the consequences of the charges against him and of the plea deal. (2) There is no guarantee that the deal will be accepted by the court-martial justice, though at the time of this writing it has been accepted by the Joint Base Lewis-McChord commanding general. The deal is simple, the Army forgoes the death penalty and Bales will plead guilty.

Sentencing-phase Trial

If the plea deal is accepted the sentencing hearing will be scheduled for September. According to the Uniform Code of Military Justice the mandatory minimum punishment is a life sentence. SSgt Bales would be eligible for parole if he receives that sentence, however, due to the nature of the crime it is likely that the Sargent will receive life without the possibility of parole. Currently there are five service members on death row and the last time a service member was executed was in 1961.

This massacre has raised questions about the rotation of troops and the diagnoses and treatment of post-traumatic stress among front line soldiers. Many believe the Army will readily accept the plea deal agreement with Bales in order to close the book on an ugly side of war. Unfortunately, the Army will have to care for a man who reached the end of his rope and was broken. It was his Army that broke him.

Feckless Leadership an art form under Obama

This week the AP reported the United States government knows who are responsible for the murders of Americans at the U.S. Mission in Benghazi. Despite Mr. Obama’s promise to punish the terrorists he is doing nothing. Talk is cheap. The White house resident could easily order armed drones to target these thugs but he doesn’t. This is a feckless President whose inaction can be easily explained by the Limbaugh theorem. (1) If he gave the order to kill the terrorists, Obama would be seen as governing. Should anything go wrong he just might have to accept responsibility. Such a possibility is unacceptable to a spoiled man-child as his ego couldn’t handle it. But if he brings them to civilian courts his hands would be clean of any decisions.

These are terrorists. Under the Geneva conventions they have no rights and can be killed without recourse. Of course, the exception is when progressives are involved. Democrats grant foreign, Muslim terrorists the same rights as American citizens. A typical politician panders to one group or another and who is this Kenyan pandering to? The Muslim Brotherhood? Their military arm al-Qaeda? He is most likely getting his marching orders from Valerie Jarrett, the same person who opposed the killing of Osama bin laden. Allowing these killers to run free will render America vulnerable to future attacks. It will be the lasting gift of feckless Leader. We all remember the last such “leader” who allowed Iranian terrorists to hold American Embassy employees hostage for 444 days.

Clinton had several opportunities to capture or kill bin Laden but did not for the same reason Obama is using today. This lack of courage and determination from a liberal Democrat lead to the USS Cole attack, the Embassy bombing in Africa and the tragic events of 9/11. Progressives don’t treat these as acts of war but as law enforcement issues. Obama likes to play judge and jury by selecting drone target assignations but decided that the men who murdered and American Ambassador should remain free. What do they know that could “embarrass” Barack?

Obama is using the same excuse Clinton used to refuse legal custody of Osama Bin Laden when he was offered to the United States in the 1990s. As a result, American civilians were murdered by Islamists. For what future attacks will the feckless, White House resident be responsible? Time will tell.

Barack just never around when bad things happen

AWOL Commander in Chief

During the Benghazi murders, instead of taking charge Mr. Obama went into hiding, the various military elements having to stand down because the occupant of the White House was afraid to make decisions. During a Senate hearing, then Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta testified that neither Obama nor anyone else from the White House had contacted the Defense Department or the Pentagon during the attack to find out what was going on. (1) This is not the behavior of a leader but of a coward. As always, Obama pleads ignorance to distance himself from anything that may make him look bad. He has already claimed to know nothing of the IRS targeting of conservative groups or the tapping of AP phone lines. Having the FBI investigate these events will enable the president to duck any questions because there is an “ongoing investigation.”

Cover-up

The Benghazi “talking points” were changed for a number of reasons, among them to hide Obama’s ineptness and Hillary’s Clinton’s incompetence. The people involved in the creation of the false narrative were more concerned about protecting their careers than the fate of fellow Americans being murdered in Libya. On a positive note at least a few people told the truth. Yet, to the low information voter this is “much ado about nothing”. When Americans accept mediocre, indeed criminal performance from their leaders, they will have to accept the inevitable downfall of a once great nation, starting with the denigration of the forces that protect America and its allies. Honorable Executive branch careerists are too few, which is why Americans are being killed as the Nation’s protectors are told to stand down. Americans are not safe with this administration.

Constitution

Article 2, Section 2, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution: The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States. As President, Mr. Obama neglected his duty to protect the American Ambassador and others who were under attack for seven hours. When congressional investigators get too close to the truth, the entire issue will be declared off limits due to “Executive privilege.”

In his entire career Barack Obama has never accepted the responsibility of making decisions; rather, he avoids it. In an actual crisis the community organizer runs and hides. The American people should know where the White House occupant was while his employees were being killed. How can he be trusted if America or our allies are ever attacked.

POWs, MIAs still being sought, Part II

Michael Scott Speicher was a United States Naval Aviator and the first combat casualty of the Gulf War. He was declared missing in action asthere was no rescue attempt at the time he was shot down. There was much speculation surrounding anecdotal evidence about the aviator having survived, along with some reports that LCDR Speicher was being held prisoner in Iraq. But attempts to find the flyer were unsuccessful. In 2009, an Iraqi came forward and led US Marines to the location where Speicher had been buried in 1991. Speicher’s remains were positively identified and returned to his family.

The fact that the remains of Michael Speicher were recovered underscores America’s resolve to never stop the search for missing and fallen warriors. Analysts have always to consider sources–eyewitnesses are OK but physical evidence is better. Since 1991 anyone who served in the US military provided DNA for identification.

Conspiracies

Professionals at the Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) office have learned to be cautious of conspiracies, the cruelest form of deliberate deception. The families of missing service members deserve far more than being confronted with reports of questionable origin written by “in the Parent’s basement” analysts. Dedicated people work hard to secure remains or evidence of living, missing American soldiers. The folks at DPMO look at all reports but must not waste their time chasing down those which are unsubstantiated. They are just a waste of time and effort and may cause embarrassment to American officials for the amusement of former enemies.

Myths

Even worse than Conspiracies are people who promote the narrative that surviving POW/MIAs in Vietnam and Korea are nothing more than a myth. (4) The “It’s a myth crowd” facts are based on a lack of verifiable evidence. Hearsay from defectors wouldn’t be conclusive as proof to these naysayers. Defectors may have ulterior motives and DPMO analysts have to be careful of their testimonies. The only thing the myth reporters have is time, for as the years go by the chances of finding a living POW/MIA diminish.

Current

In June of 2009, Sgt Bowe R. Bergdahl was taken prisoner by the Haqqani network of the Taliban while serving in Southeastern Afghanistan. (7) The Taliban have been posting videos of SGT Bergdahl during his captivity. At the time of this writing America knows he is alive. Keep him in your prayers along with other missing warriors.

Laws and Directives

DPMO posts the laws that cover the accounting responsibilities for personnel recovery. (5) The laws address accounting for living POW/MIAs and the recovery of fallen American warriors wherever they fought and died. The laws also task the DOD to properly account for all missing service members and provide their families with the most current information on the status of their loved one.

I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

America must never abandon its warriors and politics should never be placed before them.

POW’s, MIA’s still being sought by dedicated American force

War is an ugly endeavor fought by brave warriors at the behest of national leaders. In the heat of battle soldiers are killed, wounded, captured or go missing. Prisoners captured during battle are at the mercy of the enemy. Despite laws created by gentleman’s agreement in an international forum, history has shown that combatant nations have abused, tortured and killed prisoners captured on the battlefield. After World War II, Russia would declare a Prisoner of War (POW) a war criminal and hold them well beyond the end of hostilities. It has become a standard practice of Communist nations to hold prisoners long after wars’ end, making the process of accounting for the dead or missing difficult if not impossible.

Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office

The Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) was established in 1993 as a single office to oversee and manage all POW/MP affairs within the Department of Defense. (3) These professionals are responsible for collecting and consolidating information on Missing persons, for working with the families of service members and with various government agencies to recover remains. With the motto of “Keeping the Promise,” DPMO is tasked to “lead the national effort to achieve the fullest possible accounting for our missing DOD personnel and to inform their families and the public.

Sightings

In a recent letter to the Soldier of Fortune website, contributor Bill Bell writes about recent information he has received from sincere Americans. “For the past two days I have received a deluge of emails and telephone calls from people concerning recent reports alleging that a live American named “John Hartley Robertson” has been located residing in Vietnam. Over the years numerous reports with the names of actual, unaccounted-for American personnel associated with them have been circulated widely. Most of these reports were obvious fabrications.” (1)

But not all reports are fabrications. Occasionally a report is received that warrants further analysis. The simple rule of thumb of a POW/MIA investigator is “the benefit of the doubt always goes to the missing man.” The professionals at DPMO rightly believe that finding one living POW/MP from America’s past wars makes it worth the time and effort of sorting the wheat from the chaff.

Consider the Source

When reading reports about surviving POW/MIAs from previous wars, check the source. Anecdotal evidence or unsubstantiated reports that play on the emotions of families by providing false hope is criminal. Over the years, too many reports have been proven to be fabricated. (1) Once in a while a report has been compelling only to be discredited when so-called facts cannot be confirmed. Occasionally POW/MIA sighting have been used by communist leader to embarrass American officials in order to gain diplomatic leverage. Vietnam used this tactic with Sen. John Kerry and President Clinton to expand economic and commercial ties with the United States. Of course this doesn’t mean Americans should stop looking for POW/MIAs. We must simply be skeptical of manipulators, con-men and outright liars who will exploit America’s mission of accounting for all of its warriors.

The Scandal That Will Not Die

Fox news and CBS’ Sharyl Attkisson have been busy keeping the Benghazi story alive. They must have earned a special place on the Obama’s administrations enemies list. This week the American People found out that John Kerry and the State Department are busy trying to silence Benghazi whistleblowers. The State Department, CIA and the Defense Department have been asked to permit attorneys representing witnesses with knowledge of the Benghazi attacks access to classified information. (2) In the manner of all Democrat regimes they are dragging their feet in hopes the American people will forget about this “incident.” Barack Obama’s only priority is to win the house in 2014 and the liberal press is doing everything to help.

“President Obama said he’s unaware of the controversy”, (1) and pled ignorance to the possibility of interference with people who want to tell the truth about the Benghazi murders. A senior State Department official has been threatened according to his lawyer Victoria Toensing. Toensing, a former Justice Department official is being stonewalled by the Kerry State Department. Kerry is probably under orders to make this go away. Mr. Kerry’s most powerful weapons boredom, and double speak, so far aren’t working.

One of the big surprises last week was the interview a military Special Ops whistleblower gave in which he explained that a 40 man unit was a couple hours away and ready to deploy at a moment’s notice, but was stopped from going in to help save the Americans at Benghazi. (3) The execution order never happened. Neither Hillary Clinton nor her second in command Patrick Kennedy nor Barack Obama could be found during the attack. The units in the immediate region we ordered to “stand down.” The order most likely came from Secretary Leon Panetta.

At the time of this writing Sen. John McCain is asking the President for the names of the 40 Benghazi survivors. Congress doesn’t know who they are. Hillary Clinton’s State Department’s Benghazi review panel has done a good job of obscuring the facts. (5) The panel is now under investigation from the State Department’s Inspector General for not doing their jobs.

The American People deserve the truth, instead of the State Department is investigating itself with predictable results. Maybe congress should appoint an outsider to look into the matter, someone like Joe Arpaio. Don’t count on it, the inside DC elite will protect themselves.

The White House will not allow congress to get close to the truth, remember “Fast and Furious.” If Obama gets desperate enough he will use “Executive Privilege” to shut everything down. Bet on it.

Who is running Iran?

According to Ali Alfoneh at the American Enterprise Institute Iran has transformed from a Theocracy to a Military Dictatorship under the control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other top clerics are now under the control of the Guards. The silent power shift was aided by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was the first Military veteran to hold the post. His economic policies allowed the IRGC to create the economic leverage necessary to control the nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei is now just a figurehead used to camouflage the IRGC silent coup and keep the populace in line. The IRGC itself is a thugocracy, ruthless in its bid to control the nation. They are the actual power driving the nuclear program of the regime. It is unlikely that they will surrender that program as long it serves their purpose. The IRGC came to power by infiltrating the Republic of Iran’s political, economic, and cultural spheres. (2)

The power play between Ahmadinejad and the clerics may have been resolved with the Ayatollah losing his control. The next President of Iran will be selected by the IRGC and will most likely be a member of their Guard.

Since the revolution 34 years ago the regime’s ruling class has been made up mainly of clerics. But the shift of power in leadership will result in members of the IRGC taking control.

This is nothing new in the Middle East as the former leadership of Egypt and Libya were part of the nation’s military. The Ayatollah has to be nervous. If he does attempt to challenge the IRGC he can be replaced with a more willing puppet.

The current IRGC has little respect for the United States and the west. The Revolutionary Guards have no respect for Barack Obama or his Administration. In fact they consider Obama weak and ineffective. The last President for whom they had respect was the firm and consistent George Bush; they feared him. The IRGC knew that, unlike the current White House resident and that buffoon at State, Bush was a man who didn’t mince words when it came to foreign policy.

Benghazi: The Cover-up Continues

Secretary of State John F. Kerry just wishes that Congress would stop asking him silly questions about the September 11 murders in Benghazi. Rather than release any facts he continued the obfuscation of the truth that the Obama Administration will be known for. He chastised members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, insisting that all State Department Officials have testified and all documents were made available to Congress, less testimony from the survivors of the murderous attacks, of course. When pressed to provide a better accounting of events he told Congress “I do not want to spend the next year coming up here talking to you about Benghazi.” (1) Secretary Kerry relayed the Administration’s mantra to House Republicans when he suggested “Let’s put this behind us.”

Mr. Kerry believes that Congress already has all of the information to which it is entitled, given that Regime officials have already testified. (2) Congressman Ed Royce R-CA pointed out that the Administration may be “attempting to stonewall the progress ” to get the facts behind the Benghazi murders. The Congressman believes his staffers are being deliberately ignored by the Administration. So much for transparency.

Congressman Dana Rohrabacher R-CA hit a nerve when he suggested the Obama Administration lied to Congress and the American People about the nature of the attack. (3) He told the Secretary that the Committee needed “to talk to the people who [were] on the scene.” The Secretary told the Committee he will appoint a special Liaison to deal with requests on Benghazi. In other words, he doesn’t want to deal with Congress anymore.

Mr. Kerry told committee members he’ll work with them in getting answers to legitimate questions. He maintains no-one lied. Yet, to escape further questions, he did his version of “Why does it matter” by insisting “we got a lot more important things to move on to and get done.” For instance, dismantling America’s missile defense to appease the Chinese. (4)
