Comparing America in freedom: to America in the chains of Obama’s socialism

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Since Barack Obama has no respect for America or Americans he will doubtlessly announce that the October 2012 unemployment rate is about 6.5% or some other ridiculous lie. Does it make any difference? Not really because he and the Charlie McCarthy dummy who is posing as our Vice President won’t be able to survive the reality of what they have done to us since January 2009.

The problems Obama will face are growing not subsiding.

In just the last month the pump price of gasoline has risen .20 a gallon.  While this is bad enough, but it is still worse because it put the price at a level higher than it has been in February since 1981. The reason for the rise totally out of Obama’s control; he can’t lie his way out of it. The Iranians want to squeeze the Europeans who are already looking at $8.00 a gallon gas so they are denying France and England oil.

The Europeans will come here to buy their gasoline because our $3.52 per gallon looks great!  When they do our price will go up whether we car pool, drive less, decide we won’t buy from this company or that company or not.  The price of gas on January 19, 2009 was $1.85.

The percentage of those who are unemployed who have been unemployed for 6 months or more has gone from 16% to 45.1 % . Never since the Great Depression has it been that high.

All of the following measurements of our national misery are presented as “On Obama’s Inauguration Day” compared to today.  These numbers come from The Senate Republican Conference.

The raw number of unemployed Americans: 12.05 million to 12.76 million. +710,000

Americans living in poverty: 39.8 million to 46.2 million. +6.4 million

American receiving Food Stamps 32 million to 46 million +14million

Misery Index (An index combining the unemployment rate and inflation rate) 7.8 to 11.3 up 45%

Federal debt 10.6 TRILLION DOLLARS to 15.4 TRILLION DOLLARS up 44%

Federal debt assigned to each American $34,731 up to $49,058

Cost of health insurance costs per employed worker $3,354 to $4,129

College tuition $6,591 up to $8,244 an increase of 25%

The total number of available jobs 133.6 million down to 132.4 a loss of 1.2 million jobs

The value of the average American’s home $169,700 down to $147,800

No amount of phony statistics or lies can cover holes this big.

  1. Bill O'Reilly, among other thinking conservatives, is far more correct about the gasoline price issue than are you and he has actually proposed solutions including an oil export tax. We, the U.S., are an oil exporting country. We have plenty of oil and the decisions to ship it overseas — both in the form of crude and as refined product — are not made by the Administration. The decisions are made in the executive suites of the Oil Companies. Blaming Obama does not wash in this case because if he is doing anything to adversely affect the price at the pump it is that he is not exercising enough control. Place the balme, therefore, where it belongs: on the Oil Companies. But you cannot do that, right? They are just practicing free enterprise and their perogative to charge whatever the traffic will bear for their wares.

    1. I just want to be clear about whom we are talking about here. Are you talking about the same O’Reilly who Mark Levin says thinks there is some mystical gura who decides the price of oil? As I recall Levin calls O’Reilly’s gura Matt.
O’Reilly is a jackass if he believes the price of gasoline is not subject to free market forces. When the people in Europe want $3.52 a gallon gasoline they will buy it here. When they do it will push up the prices so “Matt” can’t do anything oner way or the other. Obama is absolutely guilty of destroying our oil industry. Don’t you remember he shut down ALL drilling in the Gulf and gave Barazil 1 BILLION of our tax dollars to drill off their coast.
Nice try, but you have only succeeded in showing you don’t know anything about the free market. Here’s a hint: O’Reilly is as phony as the day is long.
      Coach

      1. Nice try Coach. Yes, after BP there was a moratorium, but that is over and the Feds (with recorded vote ibn Congress) within the last few weeks made a boatload new leases in the eastern Gulf available — even some which FL Rep. Jeff Miller (not a liberal last time I heard) voted against because the military objected as they might intefere with testing missions. As for oil exports the American Petroleum Institute figures confirm our exports as do figures used by Heritage and Cato and the GAO (Communist front groups, maybe?). Then there is Williston, ND and environs. Seems like that is open for business as will be the new pipeline after the ongoing negotiations are done that will include the ability for the Williston production to be included and not bypassed by it as was the case in the original plan. There is more I could say, but won't bother to now. I will say, though, I don't have much use for O'Reilly, but on this he is right. BTW: I do understand the free market and play in the oil markets. I am making money off oil. Money China is paying me, India is paying me and you, Coach, are paying me. Happy Motoring! :)

        1. So Obama is the Energy President? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!
This punk is the guiy who has said he wants to bankrupt coal burning plants and force electric carson us!
I suppose the Keystone pipeline was stopped by Matt not Obama.
          Coach

        2. Fl Voter…once again your facts don't tally with known data…..there HAVEN'T been a "boatload" of new oil and gas leases from Louisiana, Alaska, The Gulf of Mexico, and other parts of America….In fact the entire number of leases granted is down for the third consecutive year. Go peddle your tripe somewhere else…..as for Florida…it's about damn time they entered the fray.
And you are a duplicitous hypocrite for slamming oil and gas exploration and production while making money off of it.

    2. Seriously? Fl Voter ??? You think O'Reilly is a conservative???? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……and a Proby-slap to the back of your Marxist little tete.
You'll never convince anyone here who is still sane that Obama, with his anti-drilling and exploration agenda everywhere in this country including not accepting the terminus of the Canadian Oil Pipeline….the vetoing of the XL Pipeline, Refusal to open ANWAR, sending his "greenie" minions out after Shell's permits in Alaska and all the other nauseating anti-development positions he has taken by offering one lame excuse after another…..and, when he sees that THOSE "distancing" tactics aren't playing very well in Peoria…he turns the blame onto others who have been lobbying for increased Oil and Gas development in the USA…That ain't playing well either…so What's Plan C ?
Where the blame belongs is with Obama so when you're B*****ng about the price of gas at the pumps, Kick Thine Own Self for offering apologies and excuses for the lamest president in American history…and I'll TELL 'ya, Obama has to be a really miserable Prez to beat out Jimmy Carter…. Walk East til 'yer hat floats, Florida Marxist.

      1. As an addendum to my post on the topic of "Comparing America in freedom…", I would additionally like to point out that ONE of the reasons for increased gasoline prices…(which may go even higher than the $5,00/Gallon predicted), is that the Futures Market is going freaking nuts over the possibility that Israel will lay waste to Iran in the coming months.
There are currently no shortages in the availability of oil….that is not the cause of of increased prices…what HAS caused prices to soar is the speculation that if the Straits of Hormuz, through which much of the world's supply of oil is shipped, becomes closed due to an Israel/Iran conflict; there will be a global oil shortage.
Investors, oil companies are hedging their bets against this global shortage. They're betting that higher and higher gas prices will come.
Just this simple act is enough to drive prices up…..yes, there will be some profiteering going on at our expense….for the umpteenth time…by Wall Street Hedgers and bettors..
The other , PRIME reason for increased gasoline prices is the Anti-Oil smugness of the "Caliph-taking- up-space-in-the-Oval-Office"
None of this would have happened if, under Obama, America even HAD an energy policy that didn't involve the word "NO" stamped all over it by his administration.
Also, if Obama had adopted back in 2009, the same sanctions he just put in place three months ago against mid-East oil he might have had the time necessary for those sanctions to take effect…however, with the possibility of Israel acting against Iran looming larger, there will be little time left for sanctions to work.
Obama has blamed the Republicans in Congress for rising oil prices, he will blame the oil companies for profiteering…and no doubt he will find some other entity to blame as well.
The fact still remains that Obama has been vigorously opposed to ALL oil drilling and exploration in the Continental and contiguous U.S.
He will try to convince us that he is responsible for the increase in domestic oil production, but those drilling permits were issued by "Dubya" Bush….not Obama…Obama has done all he could to halt or kill even THOSE successes.
        There is much speculation about whose side Obama would take in a confrontation between Israel and Iran, should this come to pass;
my thoughts are that we will continue to see great weakness from Obama as he continues to sympathizes with Arab Countries and Jihaddist-Islamists.
Obama won't side with Israel, or be forceful in offering support to Israel….he will instead, encourage "restraint"…he may even urge a "cease-fire"….in other words…he'll be his usual wimpy self.
It is Obama's literal and figurative kowtowing to Arab states and their successors, the Arab-Spring Muslim Brotherhood tribes, which has emboldened nations like Iran to feel as if they are "bullet-proof".
I can tell you though, that Obama will be dodging even more "political bullets" of criticism when his phoney "recovery" is revealed when it "tanks" from the many problems associated with increased gas prices. Strong markets might "buckle", but weak ones shred-up like a nickle cigar.
