This past year has proved “hiding information in plain sight” won’t work anymore.
For decades before the general use of the Internet, the Democrat controlled media could ignore stories deemed harmful to Democrats or burry them so deeply within the back pages making certain no one saw them.
This is changed now. We’re not going back to the “black out” days ever again.
Internet beating back Marxism
We almost killed Obama’s healthcare scheme by simply reading the bill when it was smuggled out into the open.
We did kill Card Check the Big Labor plot against American workers and have bottled up Cap and Trade because we could read those bills line by line.
Notwithstanding the Obama regime’s ability to bribe or threaten a piece of legislation through, it’s now much harder if not impossible to get a bill passed without Americans knowing what is in it.
Dodd’s “Fair Lending… Practices”
Section 1071 of disgraced outgoing Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd’s financial reform bill requires banks to gather data on “checking account, savings account, credit union share account, and other types of accounts, as defined by the [Consumer Financial Protection] Bureau. (CFPB)”
This information would be forwarded to the CFPB so IT can decide whether, “the credit needs of its entire community, including low- and moderate-income [are being met].”
This egalitarian and seemingly innocuous provision would bring us right back to the circumstances that plunged us into the housing and real estate crisis we’re in today. It’s the same type of regulation that forced Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to write bad mortgages to satisfy liberal ideas about “Fair Lending .. Practices” code words for buying minority votes with taxpayer money.
The Internet has exposed Dodd’s underhanded trick. It’s time for phone calls and Emails to fight this latest attack.
How serious is the threat?
Dodd’s bill will give the Obama administration a way to spy on the activities of every single bank account in the country. It will be Orwell’s Big Brother on steroids.
It will rip away our rights to manage our own financial affairs which would lead to slavery to Obama’s Marxist plans.
