When Robert E. Lee was forced to turn back and retreat from Pennsylvania ending his dream of winning the Civil War by invading the North it quickly became clear that he had thrown his best punch and failed. Lee almost won but didn’t. While the Confederates won some major battles after Gettysburg their will to fight and the appetite for loaning them money was gone.
Yesterday the Wisconsin Democrats brought their invasion to Republican held State Senate districts. To turn back the tide of conservatism in Wisconsin the Democrats instigated recall elections of six Republican Senators. They almost won enough seats to make a difference but didn’t.
They needed to take three seats to wrest control of the State’s upper chamber from the Republicans, but they failed. Gettysburg has come for Wisconsin’s Democrats which is fitting since most Confederates were Democrats as well.
Why the Democrats lost
The Democrats’ lost because they represent a failed system of never ending tax increases to support special interest groups such as public employee unions and illegal aliens. They lost because they support endless extensions to food stamp and unemployment benefits, and do so with an extremely smug sense of entitlement to our money.
They lost because the unions who were behind the recalls willing unmasked themselves as criminals who would use physical violence to maintain their racketeering enterprises.
The Democrats lost because the debt ceiling “fix” was so bad that its cause and effect to the destruction of the stock market is glowing in neon red.
Wisconsin’s Democrats met their Gettysburg because the power of free elections is stronger than the strength of voter fraud. They lost because voters looked at the wild mobs of young Blacks beating down peaceful White families at the Wisconsin State Fair and used their very first chance to vote against the party of Blacks.
The Democrats lost because truth and freedom can beat union corruption and big spending.
What the future holds
Next week there will be two more recall elections. In both cases incumbent Democrat Senators will be on the ballot. Given the defeat they suffered yesterday and the fact that the best they can do is break even by winning both races, it is a good bet they will lose one or both of these seats.
But, there is still more damaging news for the Democrats. According to reports they will have a rude surprise when Wisconsin’s redistricted maps are unveiled. Add this to the new Photo ID to vote law curtailing Democrat voter fraud and yesterday’s results were surly a Gettysburg type defeat for Wisconsin’s Democrats and their union masters.

I think you are a liberal trying defame conservative politics. True Republicans hate racism just as much as black people hate racism. What are you going to do about the many black conservative people who are beginning to recognize that the Democratic party is operating as the masters of the slave plantations that they hate? Don't forget, the black people missed Benjamin Franklin's education of what it means to be free Americans. White people didn't even know what it meant to be free independent self-sufficient providers for themselves when they first got to America. Benjamin Franklin's "Poor Richard's Almanac" taught Americans how to live free and succeed. Black people missed that and some of them are still in bondage to a false dependence upon their "master" to provide for them. As black people continue to see successful black people who have broken from from the abuse of racism and the ignorance of socialism they will begin to leave the democratic party in droves.
Your commentary is non-productive in terms of righteousness because you have missed the basic respect for the image of God in black people as well as white, yellow, red, pink, tan and beige human beings.
To Lets get real : Are you out of your everlovin' mind? Why did you pick this particular subject/site to resurrect the old wounds of racism? Or is it simply that you CANNOT properly read a topic at face value without attributing some racist over- tone to it ?
There is not a whit of racism present in this article, so just spare us all your whining and go away!
If you cannot hold public discourse on a given topic without injecting your own personal brand of racism then the fair folks here neither need, nor want your input.
When a black man can become president of these United States, Hermann Cane can run for president, Clarence Thomas can become a Supreme Court justice, along with countless other black success stories; your personal demons of racism no longer apply and we will not tolerate you exorcising them here.

I do not author this website. I have no authority other than to offer comment on your disjointed, uncivil screed.
In my opinion, you owe "Coach" and my other friends here an apology. We are good people, Conservatives I might add, who do our level best to support the equality under the law of all human souls, even those with whom we seriously disagree with politically.
However we do not feel compelled to support those who expect special privileges, or "passes" on politeness, simply because of their skin color.
