The Election is over. America won and the Democrats lost. Now that conservatives have regained the House, there are many things we have to do immediately. One of them is to step up our efforts to kick illegal aliens out of our country. Shutting off federal support for sanctuary cities is an excellent first step in cleaning up the Obama/Pelosi/Reed immigration mess.
The problem of illegal aliens ruining America and sucking the life out of our economy is akin to the problem of a leaking pipe. Any plumber arriving at your home to fix a leak will always take the same first step: he will shut the water off at the source because he knows you can’t fix a leaking pipe while the water is pouring out of the hole.
To fix the illegal alien problem the first thing we have to do is build a fence then start to make going home a much more appealing choice than staying here under new conditions.
Sanctuary Cities
One of the easiest ways to force this choice is to start defunding the Sanctuary Cities that mock our efforts to clean out these burglars and potential Democrat voters.
Under the 1996 Immigration Control and Financial Responsibility Act, local governments are required to cooperate with federal immigration law enforcement initiatives. Under the Pelosi controlled House, cities seeking to load up on illegal aliens have become “sanctuary cities” where illegal aliens can live without fear of being arrested and deported.
Secure in the knowledge they would never be challenged, these ‘sanctuary cities” have been working against American interests and for Democrat plans to convert these criminals into new Democrat voters. That “security” is gone with the Democrat House majority.
The type of cynical doubletalk the Democrat mayors of these sanctuary cities have been hiding behind will not be “winked at” by the incoming conservative Congress.
Sophomoric gibberish, about making illegal aliens comfortable enough to report crime victimization and seek treatment for contagious diseases, will now be indications that the cities involved need special attention from a conservative House in no mood for such childishness. These phony sanctuary cities will no longer be able to get funding for their voter “registration drives” from a Democrat Congress eager to look the other way.
Force the choice
Calling Obama’s bluff about being “tough on illegal aliens” will force a choice for the remaining House Democrats: either support completion of a southern border fence or support a strong crackdown sanctuary city.
It’s time to make the Democrats defend sanctuary cities in the face of record unemployment. With unemployment at or above 9.5% for fourteen straight months this will be very hard to do. Once movement on this issue is achieved and we have the Democrats on the run we can reach both or these goals.

If ONLY republicans had the GUTS to do even half of the things which would prominently expose the left for what it truly is. Unfortunately our ruling class, DC elitist, republican "leaders" are far more interested in courting and impressing the NY Times than those base, ignorant inhabitants of flyover country.
The only solution to this mess is to repeal the 17th Amendment restoring the State's "principal" status and control over Congress, who now has no "master".
I agree and then make it almost impossible for mexicans to gain entry for at least ten years and rescind citizenhip of those given amesty in the past. The infighting in mexico is forcing people to seek safety in America, which is probably part of a conspiracy.
Boycott the sanctuary cities and take their tourist dollars. They won't be sanctuary cities for very long, which should have been done a long time ago.
Andrea, your stepmon should have told Homeland Security that it is they who are wrong–illegals have no rights under our laws because they are not citizen of our country.
Lorene, no disrespect/offense intended but apparantly you just don't "get it" — Democrats know all too well it is they who are wrong but they also know illegal immigrants vote Democratic by an overwhelming majority.
