In 2007 a staffer for Hillary Clinton came to the attention of Washington’s wagging tongues. She was darkly exotic and seemed to be thisclose to Hillary not only in her Washington office but when they went on road trips. Her name was Huma Abedin a Muslim with very close familial connections to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.
Their especially close relationship begged many questions.
Among those raising questions about the relationship was Michael Musto a Village Voice columnist who writes about gay issues. Musto speculated as to whether Hillary Clinton might have been increasing Huma’s visibility to head off rumors of a lesbian affair by using some reverse psychology on the media. “If she is not hiding Abedin than there’s nothing going on,” the thinking went.
Other questions were raised about Huma Abedin. “Is the fact that Huma was never seen twice in the same designer outfit and lived in a $649,000 condo explainable because she was trading sexual favors with Hillary for a fabulous lifestyle?” “If so what does that make Huma?” “How did Huma, whose government salary was listed as $9,999, live as she did?”
Clearly either there was some fire to go with the smoke or Huma was the most careful shopper in America.
Other interesting facts about Huma Abedin are that she is married to the disgraced “Tone the Bone” Weiner her brother is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood as was her deceased father and her mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood.
During the so called Arab Spring as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Barack Obama to turn his back on Egyptian president Hosni Mubarack, which he did. This helped bring Mubarack, an American ally and force for Middle Eastern peace down and a predictable rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to total power in Egypt.
Saleha Mahmoud Abedin is a close ally of Mohamed Morsi the new Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt who has made his animosity toward Israel very clear .
In a way you could call Morsi and Hillary birds of a feather: they’re both into Muslim women.
