“.. from east Africa Barack Abdalla Hussein Obama …. first black U.S. President,” (African media)

 Saying “things have changed in the U.S.,” an African newspaper article from 2010 is using Barack  Obama’s election in 2008 as a prime example for the island region of Zanzibar in Tanzania to “reverse trend  to have a President from Pemba.”     Citing the more than 200 year  U.S. history of elections of what the African reporters called “original” citizens to be president of America, the article anticipates a favorable change in that country, also.  “This might have been the result of a belief that a person other than ‘original’ U.S. citizen” was not able to maintain the powerful democracy’s founding  values!   But the global political changes prompted American citizens to elect Barack Obama in 2008 according to the Tanzanian newspaper’s analysis after the 2008 U.S. election.  “We witnessed last year (2008) a senator with his origins from east Africa Barack Abdalla Hussein Obama becoming the first black U.S. President,” the African reporters state. (2) “He won on the Democrat ticket and was sworn in on January 28, 2009 as U.S. President,” they conclude.

 Wanting to give this example of changing global politics to their local African citizens, the reporters hoped to reverse the trend in Zanzibar of only electing strictly local leaders without any other national origins.

“What has happened in the U.S. can also happen in Zanzibar if the candidate from Pemba, Tanzania, and even a candidate with Asian origin could be selected.”

   Now Professor of Modern Middle Eastern and South Asian history at the University of Michigan Dr.Juan Cole blogged in the left leaning salon.com (3) that Obama’s middle name of Hussein  meant blessed, heroic, and American, just like the names of Benjamin Franklin and Gen. Omar Nelson Bradley!  Author of the book “Engaging the Muslim World,” Cole said “Barack and Hussein are Semitic Words.”  Barack carries the meaning of blessing, and  appears first in the Bible at Genesis  1:22.  “I want to say something about Barack Hussein Obama’s name.  It is a name to be proud of,” Cole adds. Little discussion is given to the Arabic derivation of Hussein, however.  “The CITIZEN” newspaper article from Tanzania, however, carries an added reference of the name “Abdalla” as being another middle name for the current U.S. President who went by the name of Barry Soetoro when he lived with his mother and adopted father Lolo Soetoro in Indochina.  Many internet reports have surfaced pointing to the fact that for Obama to have been enrolled in grade school in Indonesia, he would have had to state his religion was in fact Muslim.  The DNC’s kerfuffle about putting “GOD” back into the Democratic National Platform after it was removed seems to give more fodder to the quandary of just who is Obama.  A conservative talk show host said after he (Obama) learned late in the proceedings of the convention that GOD had been removed and realizing he needed the white Evangelical votes, he directed that the Christian divinity be reinstated!.  Well, how is that for having one middle name, then another, then another first name, and later another first name, and even two different last names?  Just who is Barack Hussein Abdalla Obama, Barry Soetoro?  Will the American people ever learn who this man really is?
