The Republicans in the House of Representatives have failed us again, but that is nothing new. Cowardice and duplicity are hallmarks of the Republican brand name. What is news is that Boehner and his band of weaklings somehow found the courage to insist upon protecting the American ball bearing industry while telling pro-lifers to go to hell! Yes, they turned their backs on their promises to protect us from Obamacare and its attacks on religious freedom and slipped a piece of pork into what they passed that protects ball bearing manufacturers!
On Wednesday the House voted to continue to fund all of Obamacare through the end of September. This means the Republican controlled body has voted to fund Barack Obama’s war on the Catholic Church and everyone else who finds abortion and contraception morally repugnant.
John Boehner and his idiot sidekick Eric Cantor laughed at the pleas of conservatives who wanted the latest Republican cave to Obama to at least discontinue funding to force faith based medical facilities to choose between stay open or murdering innocent babies.
The worst thing about this vote was probably the alarmingly small number of Republicans who refused to go along to get along. Just 14 Republicans said “No.” This is scary. It signifies a new resolve to protect themselves at our expense. They are running away from the road to freedom and instead charging headlong along the road to serfdom under Barack Obama. Boehner and Cantor would not even allow a vote to defund Obamacare. What else can be derived from this but that we have been completely abandoned by the entire American government?
Now we can only hope that the Roman Catholic Bishops, who were too timid to mount a genuine fight against Obamacare and those that support it last November, can experience a change of heart and mind. We can also hope that they will finally see the Democrats and Republicans for what they are.
If this vote means little to the Bishops even after having declared the very law the Republicans are helping Obama put into effect to be an “unjust and illegal mandate” as well a violation of the civil rights of individual Americans, where do we go from here?

You write: “Now we can only hope that the Roman Catholic Bishops, who were too timid to mount a genuine fight against Obamacare and those that support it last November, can experience a change of heart and mind.”
Are you kidding? The catholics are in this up to their necks and on board with the obama end game. Read this:

Something about the smell of power when one will sell his own soul and starve his neighbors to keep it.
Our only hope is an uprising and our new Republicans and Kick Boehner out of Speaker position. Boehner and Cantor both need to be kicked to the side of the road
Everyone should read “The Harbinger” By Jonathan Cahn. The parallel of two nations created for and blessed by God (Israel and The United States” is explored, along with the identical defiance of both of the states when God chastised them. This is one of, if not the most enlightening books I have ever read. A MUST read for every Christian, if not for every American. If there was ever a time for 2 Chronicles 7:14, it is now.
No details on the reason why protecting ball bearing manufacturers has any meaninful relationship between ball bearings and Obamacare.
Ball bearings are important to manufacturing and hence to national defense, so protecting their manufacture in the US might be a very good idea.
I’m Willing to hear any reasonable argument against US manufacturing of ball bearings but this seems to be a very vague and simpleminded comparison. The House has to be able to do more than focus on one single issue at a time..
The word to describe what should be happening in Congress is prioritizing. If you don’t get a scent of smugness from their passing the ball bearing protection clause and refunding Obamacare I wouldn’t know how to explain it to you.
Yeah, it’s pretty clear you can’t explain the juxtaposition between them when called out. I simply believe the Congress can do more than one thing at a time.
I also think they could take up Obamacare in some way, but the chances of repealing it by defunding are remote as Obama would simply veto any bill and then take to the bully pulpit to excoriate the Republicans again. There is not much point in symbolic votes that won’t get them anywhere.
The time to fight Obamacare will come when all the tax costs begin to kick in along with the inevitable consequences of all the bad parts of the law.
Obama can’t “veto” money that has not appropriated. If the Congress says no to funding short of showing up with a gun and a mask there really isn’t anything Obama can do.
