In Iowa and New Hampshire Non-Republicans are supporting Sanjaya Paul as their “pig party” entry

In the mid 60’s a favorite cruel trick of “preppie” frat boys at some of our major colleges was to throw parties that were billed as “meet and greets” but were actually known as “pig parties” to the fraternity jerks who put them on.

In a “pig party” the frat brothers would pool their money – sometimes as much as $50.00 each- and create a prize pot for showing up with the ugliest girl they could find.  Watching the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire seems like watching “pig parties” unfold.   People who are not Republicans and in many cases hate Republicans are supporting Ron Paul as their own “pig Party” entry.    

Sanjaya Paul?

The support for Paul is so suspect because it is so clearly worthy of suspicion.  In Iowa a Rasmussen poll of declared Paul supporters revealed that just 51% call themselves Republicans; while a University of New Hampshire poll tells us only a few more Granite State Paul backers (56%) self- identify as Republicans. What’s more only 13% of New Hampshire’s actual Republicans say they will vote for Paul.

The lunatics who support Ron Paul beg for comparison to Howard Stern’s VoteForTheWorst.com (VFTW) robots that joined together to purposely vote for the least talented American Idol contestants such as Sanjaya Malakar to keep him in the running during the show’s sixth season.  VFTW’s purpose was to mock the show that many mainstream Americans watched and enjoyed.   Today it is hard to say the purposes of roughly half of Sanjaya Paul’s are much different. They want to mock and destroy the Party that stands against their socialist plans.  Nevertheless, unlike Sanjaya Paul, at least at some point the real Sanjaya, got the joke – he knew he was the “pig.” The self- delusional   Paul seems to think real voters are falling for his gibberish as he ignores those who are actually supporting him as a way to re-elect Barack Obama.  

Our enemy’s “pig party” stunt will fall flat. The Republican Party will survive Ron Paul’s cynical supporters – we have to; we have a country to save.

    • Wow, that is a truly intellectual response! I wish I could come up with such an erudite argument when I am debating those with whom I disagree! My hat is of to you, sir.
      Venturing back to a little "byte of realety," why is that Mr. Paul, whom any Constitutionalist can agree on on a great many matters, never gets the votes on election day that are generated during the primaries? Hmmm? Hands?
      It is obvious that his "followers" are not serious about him, they are using him to stick a finger in the eye of the Republicans. If the Virginia Republicans can keep people from voting if they are not Republicans, how can they have a so-clearly non-Republican on their ballot?
      Paul is a Libertarian, as I was for years…nothing wrong with that, I just don't see why he is such a coward and will not run as what he is. He should not be on any Republican ballot.

    I find your conclusion to be highly inaccurate.
    The RP movement seems to be embraced by a bottoms up, grassroots coalition that want to see a return to a constitutional Republic.
    This piece of trash that we have in the WH now is the worst thing since The FED and the UN were created.

        I have been kicked off of Redstate, because I disagreed with the neocons, Republican based influence peddling. As erudite as he sounds he is about as bad a Ann Coulter.
        I have been kick off of numerous TeaParty sites also, for offering opinions on how the system needs to be changed.
        I appreciate your personal input, but this is a tactic that most of our elected leaders need to take, as we really have know idea of what or here they stand upon the issues.
        The internet is like the Gutenberg printing press, and the religious truths that it revealed to the masses when it printed the Bible. They were being lied to by the clergy.
        Ron Paul is expressing the conservative Libertarian truth. And that is the change that we need, to make this country the envy of the world once again.
        This country has so many problems that need to be addressed, and no one in DC seems to know how to do it. . .
        Our Founding Fathers did, and their manifesto, The Constitution, is the Supreme Law of the land, and When the defenders of this wonderful document, fail to do their job, (SCOTUS), they subvert our liberties in a quantitive form.
        The Grass roots RP movement, want to see a return to constitutional government. We are tired of the same old Fascist regimes that are labeled Republican(Yeah we have a Republic, if you know what that means. . . ) and Democrat(We are not a democracy)
        You call an Ethical member of our political Family a Pig, I refute you and anything that you say, as it is just as divisive as waht all the paid trolls are saying. . .
        And whom would you vote for if Paul does get the nomination? Øbama?

          You were the one who said you were leaving. As long as you don’t use foul language and otherwise write things that make sense you are welcome here so don’t pull that “wounded fawn” act on us.
          As to what I would do if Sanjaya Paul got the nomination – well in a contest between a commie and a loony anti semite I’d vote for the man in the straight jacket.
          Sanjaya’ getting the most money from the least number of actual Republican SHOULD be a red flag even to you.

            I was coached by real coaches when I was in school. I was the Captain and MVP, (voted that by the team mates)and a real team player, back in the stone age, and am no Bambie by any means. I was jsut working in The original AMAZON warehouse, the world leading on line retailer, and I out worked people half my age, and the competition is and was fierce.
            I have viewed each and every GOP debate, and while I like each and every candidate, RP makes the most sense. . . I personally would go a lot further, like term limits for Judges. There are a lot of things that need to be changed, Like how about the "Conflict of Interests" that lie in the camps of our elected leaders? They write up bills of law(in massive lawyeresque rhetoric, and then vote on the ratification of thes bills. . . Tghat is 545 people making the law for 320 million peoples.
            Now days with the advent of the internet and cyberspace, the elected leaders can can write the bills of law, but they must be put to the people for the ratification of such bills into law. With the Internet this is a very real and major change in the way that DC would be able to do business.
            As Gerald Celente calls it, "Direct Democrac y, . com"
            We the people are sovereign. . .

            We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

            Ideas do count for everything that we enjoy today. . .
            Whom do you support for the GOP nominee? It say a lot about what and whom you are. . . I reserve judgement until I know. . .

          No, he did not. He made an analogy referring to college day antics, and it meant an ugly candidate. As a Republican, Ron Paul IS an ugly candidate.

            If Ron Paul is UGLY, it is because he is honest about the issues and is ethical.
            The analogy still says the same thing that Donald Trump and so many others have said. . .
            Ron Paul is unelectable. . .
            This is not to be heard of from a columnist. Just say whom you like, and you are found guilty by your associations or choice.
            I like all the candidates for the GOP, I just think that Paul would be the best man for the job.
            He too is an athlete, the only congressman to ever hit the ball out of the park at the congressional game. He is no lightweight, and is not afraid of anything that is hurled at him. . .
            What if he wins?
            Would you vote for him?
            I would vote for Newt if he won the nomination, even though I really do not like his globalist tendencies. I will vote for anybody but Øbama, and that is the message that needs to get out.
            All this infighting amongst the conservative factions must stop.
            Like I always say, If you can not say something positive, say nothing at all.
            we are just providing the Øbama team with bullets for the final showdown.
            I just get upset when any candidate is referred to as a pig, it is unbecoming of conservative writers!

I'm sorry, I thought you were paying attention to the election.(just a little good-natured ribbing there, dude!)             I have a lot of things on my mind, and to remember everything that the candidate said is not my in my protocol. I do not watch TV at all, so please just tell me what it is that Paul. He is a candidate, with a real chance at taking the election, so he should support another candidate? I am a political neophyte, and do not know the histories of all the candidates.
            Paul wants to get the US out of ALL foriegn entanglements, and that is a real switch on American positions, and I am tired of being at war. I am a peaceable sort you know, and that move alone would make us(US) economically viable again. . .
            I also spend a lot of time listening to Alex Jones, he is awesome. A lot of youngsters listen to him also,and that is why Paul has such a strong grassroots following. I am just part of it!

            There is a place for a Libertarian in the next administration. He would do well to reign in the Federal Reserve.
            You are apparently hung up on the word, pig. It was an analogy, not a personal attack. We are all pretty sure Dr. Paul does not eat out of a trough! :-)
            Ann Coulter is brilliant, but human, and we all make mistakes.

            I do think that the word pig to describe any conservative candidate, by a conservative blogger is inappropriate!
            That is right all of these candidates are human and subject to errors. so what the heck is wrong with that. I make mistakes everyday, and I do try to correct them.
            I like all the conservative candidates, I jsut like the Paul agenda best.

Romney still won't admit to removing things from his book, Dr. Paul suddenly doesn't remember any of the materials he published in his newsletters…why can't these people admit an honest mistake or error in judgement? Don't you feel that type of obama-arrogance is exactly what people are sick of?Don't people have a tendency to forgive people's shortcomings once they admit them and explain themselves? Paul's 9/11, newsletter and foreign policy statements really need to be examined, IMHO.             Paul Published 14 different economic newsletters at that time, while practicing his duties at the Drs, office. What is more important, your patients or your newsletters. He delegated the writing and editing jobs to others, so I can see how he may have been a little negligent in the reading of every single word printed in his newsletters.
            Now I believe that Paul is honest about what he is saying, and that is one of the characteristics that you can appreciate in the candidate.
            Again, I like all the candidates, I think that we just need the one that will be the most ethical and constitutional in everything, hence the reason he is a Libertarian. the only way a libertarian can get elected is on the corrupted Republican ticket.
            I am with Paul, that America has seriously overstepped her boundries, in turn being monied by the NWO banking cartel. That is it in a nutshell, NWO Banking Cartel Federal Reserve, CFR, WHO, UN, ect ect. . .
            We need to break those insidious chains!

            C'mon dbassd !!! Enough with the sniveling over the pig insult issue….give it up man!
            As a former Libertarian there are some issues promoted by Paul which I would support; but would I vote for Paul in the Primaries? The answer is no…if, by some miracle he winds up as the candidate facing Obama…yes, I would vote for Paul, but I would be praying that someone is able to fashion a muzzle for him before some hot head decides to shoot him !
            Paul is more valuable where he is right now, especially with the more pragmatic alliance with his son, Rand as a more realistic, tempering agent. The mood of much of America is also shifting to the Constitutional preservation
            The voices of conscience serve to rally people behind what is just, Constitutional, and even moral; these voices however, are rarely held in office very long…it is a tribute to both the Paul men that they seek to guide us in a more principled fashion. An even greater tribute must be extended to those voters who had the wisdom to place them and keep them in their offices.
            Americans will desperately need their expertise in the Senate when we rid ourselves of Obama and Holder.
            I only wish that true Constitutional conservatives had someone else, other than Ron Paul, to champion their issues.

      Cassie I know it is not easy to deal with truths that go against what you want to believe but that is pretty much the requirement around here. As I’ve said to the other Sanjaya fans you are welcome to stay, but if you go that is your call. Anyone who uses proper language and at least comes close to making sense can post here.

      To Tim and Cassie: what Liberal or Libertarian trim-work did you two termites fall out from ? Why this sudden deluge of nay-saying visitors ?
      You might just be better off not infecting others with pie-in-the-sky idealism and dogma which will not survive the intemperance of either the House or the Senate. Wonderful of you to support your candidate so ardently, but Americans aren't looking for more Hope and Change or unworkable Libertarian ideals.
      We need something we can get behind which is both workable, principled and not from the "up-heaving" genre so soon on the heel of Obama's madness.
