Try as it did, the Obama Administration was not able to arrange a primary free path to reelection for Arlen Spector in return for his defection to the Democrat Party in April 2009.
Spector’s return must have been engineered with some degree of certainty that Obama could deliver on his promise. Nevertheless two Democrats, Congressman Joe Sestak and private citizen Joseph Torsella, announced they would make primary runs against Spector.
Obama got rid of Torsella first. After a “sit down” with his old friend Governor “Fast Eddie” Rendell, the Pennsylvania businessman apparently took a deal.
Sestak, however, would not budge. He refused Obama’s offer stayed in and won the primary against Spector then lost the general election.
What became of Joe Torsella?
Last week after eighteen months we got an answer to the question of: what happened to Joe Torsella? He is Obama’s new nominee to the position of United Nations envoy.
This nomination to United Nations Envoy sure smells like a political payoff. The position is so unimportant it has remained vacant since Obama took office. While we are paying him, Torsella will be partying on Broadway for the next two years until we vote Obama out of office.
Joe Torsella is supposed to go to the U.N. to “reform” it. That would be a neat trick since he has not one minute of experience with the United Nations. But he’s a loyal Democrat and he obviously does what the Party tells him to do. What else matters?
This nomination once again reminds us that Obama has a total disregard for genuine credentials as a prerequisite for appointment in his Administration.
Last week when Torsella’s nomination was announced, the Philadelphia Daily News observed “[Rendell had]…recommended Joe [Torsella] to the White House for a number of positions…. after Torsella dropped out of the Senate race.”
Even the Democrat cheerleaders in the media smell a rat in this one.
Was Joe Torsella’s nomination the result of an “exhaustive nationwide” search for the best qualified candidate? You decide.

the coup to undermine the constitution of the United States to the point where it is irrelevant and the US can lose its sovergnty like Sweden just lost theirs to their new constitution, is nearing completion.. How many more Rhodes Scholars can there BE in this nation to sell this nation out to the global new world order, as Clinton himself did??
Americans need to stop being naive, believing this administration, from Obama on down, all inclusive, is madeup of people who remotely LIKE our nation and our culture…
We need to recognise that the enemy is in the whitehouse, he LIED to get there, he is the deceitful stealth jihadist who will one day rule the entire world from the UN being "reformed" for the New World Order…connect the dots…
Political payoff? No…not at all. Don't let this slip out, but the truth is Hussein has spent two years appointing to public office the most thoroughly and laughably unqualified people he could find, all for the purpose of making HIMSELF look competent by comparison!! Janet Napolitano, Eric Holder, John Pistole….think about it!
Lets not forge,t Mao devotee Anita Dunn, or communist Van Jones. who left the White house after being exposed as radicals by Glenn Beck. Without Fox News and Beck,we would remain clueless as to the others in Obama's strange group of people who appear to dislike America. George Soros, no friend of the USA, recently made his fourth visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,bringing with him a new staff member to be Mrs Obama's aide. Why is a man of Mr. Soros background, who is accused of scuttling the economies of several countries, meeting with the President of the USA? Tell me who your friends are, goes the old saying, it still rings true today ! Please, let 2012 bring us a candidate who will restore America to its greatness, instead of one who is trying to destroy our Constitution and turn us into a Socialistic country.
I would like to recommend that all US citizens, read David Limbaugh's new book titled "Crimes Against Liberty". Limbaugh ,gives us true details about the man America elected to the Presidency and how he is not who we thought he was. The book lays it all out and gives actual references that cannot be disputed. I usually am bored by dry reads, preferring Tom Clancy type genre, but I could not put this book down. It is verification of everything we have been feeling about the wrong way our great country is headed under this Administration.
