Barack Obama is lying to women with his “equal pay for equal work” message. The bottom line on White House salaries proves he pays women less than men and does so in a clever and devious way typical of Democrats.
Because Barack Obama thinks he can win Florida, the TV airwaves in the Sunshine State are filled with spots promoting him as the champion of “equal pay for equal work.” The spots show a beaming Obama signing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 (LLFPA2009).
When he signed it on January 29, 2009 Obama said, “I intend to send a clear message: That making our economy work means making sure it works for everyone. That there are no second class citizens in our workplaces, and that it’s not just unfair and illegal — it’s bad for business — to pay someone less because of their gender, or their age, race, ethnicity, religion or disability.”
Now three years later thanks to a British newspaper, (because our American media won’t ever tell the truth about a Democrat), we can see the extent of Barack Obama’s “commitment” “to equal pay for equal work” in support of women whose votes are essential to his reelection.
In 2009 the year he signed the bill, women working in the White House averaged 11 % or $9,390 less than male staffers made. Last year male White House staffers averaged $11,000 more which was a 15.5% difference as compared to the salaries men made.
But how can this be? How can Barack Obama who signed the LLFPA 2009 pay his female staff 15.5% less for the same work? The answer is classic Democrat double talk. To get this done Obama merely puts far fewer women in the slots that are actually important – the ones that pay top dollar so they don’t do the same work. Although women voted for Obama and are 52% of those who will likely show up and vote again in November, just 30% (6 of 20) of White House top jobs are held by women. He is conning women.
Democrats can only get away with their bogus claims about women being paid less than men when we let them. Do female police or firefighters or teachers get less pay than men in the same job title? Of course they don’t. Democrats lie about this and are almost never challenged on their lies. The media won’t do it so we have to.
Just like in everything else, Democrats lie to the gullible. Will women believe Obama is their equal pay champion? Not if all of us work to show them otherwise.
