If Mitt Romney believed Barack Obama his equal, he would fight him from every possible legitimate avenue of attack, just as President Obama is proving there is nothing he won’t do as he clings to lies and gutter tactics.
Instead, because his adversary is a Black man, he refuses to use the only sure-fire way to shut President Obama up, and drive him from the presidency in disgrace and possibly handcuffs, in defense of America. Romney has the same progressive streak as John McCain, a willingness to suspend reality to the detriment of the country, for a “go along to get along” fantasy where he is accepted by the Left. He is hung up on being called a racist if he, (God forbid!), treats President Obama as an equal, forgetting that no matter what he does, Leftists and the media believe if you are a Republican or Conservative, you are a anyway. (1)
It’s a warped version of political affirmative-action. President Obama is spared the truth being used against him by the “racist white man,” while Obama can throw proven lies around, and because he is Black, they are accepted without question.
Were Romney man enough to show America he will fight proudly with the truth, that he deserves to be Commander-in-Chief, the next time some Obama toady in the press asked Romney to show his tax records, or more documents on Bain Capital, he’d be prepared.
He would make a speech about America’s greatness, and the honor to be in a position to represent her all over the world, to follow our founding fathers blueprint, our Constitution, into glory once again. He would declare pride at growing up and learning about capitalism, because it has been the greatest force for life, freedom and prosperity on the face of the earth.
He should open a briefcase and pull out two documents.
He should slap down his birth certificate and his selective service card.
In the name of “Fairness,” he should promise to release other documents, as soon as Barack Obama matches with his birth certificate and selective service card.
He should challenge the media to examine who they are talking to before demanding any American citizen open up his life to someone they know nothing about. He should refuse to ever again entertain any questions about anything in his past until his unknown opponent identifies himself.
Romney will have proved that he is a rugged American, willing to stand up for the Constitution and use truth to fight lies.
Mitt Romney must be willing to stand up for himself and, by extension, America, with the same tenacity and vehemence with which the attacks on him are launched.
Nothing else is necessary to put him over the line, without an opponent that can do the same.

Ron, if Romney were to follow your advice, he would be DONE. First, these charges against Obama are baseless and frankly, getting quite old. Let's talk about POLICY. Why is that such a bad thing for conservatives???
Because you don't waste time talking with someone not qualified Constitutionally! Why is that so hard for a conservative to understand. If Romney were to refuse to entertain anything from the illegal occupant of the White House, except to point out the phony social security card, (PROVEN, not old news, but a crime), phony draft card, (PROVEN, not old news, but a crime), and seemingly phony birth certificate, (not yet proven because it does not exist in physical material reality, and no one can verify the authenticity of a copy and paste job from a photo).
It may be old news to you, but it is far from baseless that an unknown entity has taken over the most powerful office in the land. Romney could force this issue to people that have not heard of these crimes, due to the MSM not reporting the facts.
Romney has talked policy, and the libs just call him a racist an ignore him. If he engages on their points, he will be drowned out by the media.
One does not engage with a criminal, one calls them out, and keeps doing so until the world takes notice. The British Government is aware obama is a fraud, but we in America can't point it out without so-called conservatives saying it is "baseless" and "old news?'
A bad thing for conservatives is to not enforce the law at all steps.
Step one: Our opponent is a fraud, and unknown who lied and cheated his way into office with the help of the Reid-Pelosi progressive machine. Enough facts exist to prove to anyone looking that he is a lying criminal John Doe.
There is no step two to consider until the danger from this anti-American fraud liar and his handlers and enablers are removed from office.
That is the mantra at every stop, with the supporting evidence for the American people to see. Discuss policy with the American opponent that replaces this criminal, but nothing about obama should ever be discussed but, "who the hell is he?"
If Romney tries any other tact, he will lose to the corruption of the government union machine and the progressive liberal media. Romney is one of them, that is why they wanted to face him. They do not fear him because he is not a conservative, and that is why he will debate the lawbreaker, but won't report him.
Another coward in the vein of McCain. We have done it again, we accepted obama's and the democrat-media choice for the republican candidate. Congratulations.
