More on why Republicans should not waste time courting Hispanics or African Americans

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Republican candidates for President, take heed: Do not waste time and energy campaigning to Hispanics or African Americans. Their minds are made up; and their candidate is Barack Hussein Obama: PERIOD.

New information clearly indicates that neither of these voting blocs is interested in even helping themselves out of the hole they’re in, let alone help America regain our position as the world’s leading economic power. They are so invested in Obama that their own unemployment numbers mean nothing to them – “Blame everything on Bush – Obama’s the man!”

Not long ago African Americans were told their unemployment had gone DOWN by more than 2%! That a claim like that didn’t squared with reality meant nothing to Black Americans. They will vote for Obama because he is Black, just ask Samuel L. Jackson a man who has probably not been out of work except by choice for many years.

Today Black unemployment is at 14.1%.   Since the U-6 number (the sum of all those unemployed and under employed) for all American workers  is 14.9%, or roughly double the 7.3% unemployment rate for White workers, it’s probably fair to say the U-6 for Blacks could be as high as 28%! Nevertheless, “It’s Bush’s fault! Brother Obama’s my man!”

The Hispanic unemployment rate is not as bad, but still markedly higher than what it is for White workers.

Even as the Obama Administration is busy making up unemployment numbers trying to fool at least some dummies, Hispanic unemployment has climbed to where it is almost 2 ½ points higher than the national average. Black unemployment is almost 6 points higher than the rest of the country. Nevertheless, as with African Americans, Hispanics are poised to vote the same way – “I’m voting for the brother!”

Yet both of these voting blocs want to come to us with their hands out demanding everything they can think of. Most of it – like open amnesty – they could not get from Obama when he had both Houses of Congress, but “Obama’s the man!”

We can’t change that instinct to want to share in the benefits of a country many have had little to do with building.

Republicans had better walk away from the table and skip the pandering act this time or risk trouble with our base.

Since neither one of these “vital groups” has even a 50% voting enthusiasm rate, why bother? We will NEVER get either of them to vote Republican – that is the reality of our situation.

  1. I have a lot of Latino friends – they vote 6:1 Democrat. Here’s a note I got from a young man last week after I sent him a list of quotes from BHO's books. Chilling!
"Jerry – Thank you for the email. My grandfather was a "Cristero" and fought against the communist regime of Plutarco E. Calles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plutarco_El%C3%ADas_… . My father had to be baptized in hiding from an underground priest who was being hidden in fear he would be assassinated for practicing his Holy Orders. I see a strong resemblance in the policy of Barack Obama. I think both of these dudes are a bunch of punks. Nonetheless, I am not the ultimate judge of the souls of these two worthless individuals. I will pass this email on to my family and show them how similar Obama is to Calles – Pedro (name changed for privacy)"
Then there's the new cadre of solid bishops, including Mexico. I'm not ready to give up.

Mexican Catholics finish making the Sign of the Cross by kissing their crossed thumb and forefinger. That "cross" was the only symbol of worship available after Calles desecrated and shut down the churches and murdered thousands of nuns and priests. Is this a new symbol of resistance against the coming "American Spring" the thugs are so diligently preparing for?

  2. You know coach I usually enjoy reading your articles. This one really disappointed me. I one article you basically said republicans need to stick with white voters. That all black people vote democrat. So with one article you confirmed the arguments of my black democrat friends. Who attack me a black woman that is a registered republican. You sunk to a new low with this one.

  3. Who are you to tell others who they should talk to about voting. I know a lot of blacks and Hispanics that absolutely refuse to vote for O b/c of his policies he keeps bringing out. So how you can say don't bother talking with these people is beyond my comprehension. Obviously you aren't looking at the whole picture not everyone wants handouts they want to work. So if you can write an unbiased piece of work then maybe you shouldn't be writing anything.

I’m sorry truth doesn’t square with your version of reality, Please send us the data you have to prove the facts in this piece are wrong.
Blacks voted for Obama AT A RATE OF 97% Hispanics now support him SIX TO ONE. What is wrong with stating the facts and cutting our loses? With rare exceptions Blacks and Hispanics have shut their ears and eyes to the Republican message which is the message of work hard be law abiding and contribute to society – be a maker not a taker, Why do either of you think Blacks and / or Hispanics should be special cases we have to make exceptions for? Why should we HAVE to reach out to these groups to sell Americanism? Doe4sn’t this get a little old and tired after a while?
      Thanks for reading CiR,
      Coach

  4. Nan, this is not a new piece- Coach is writing what he thinks and what he thinks is going to be biased no matter what. You need to understand what this article is, and what it is not. That said, I think he is right. The blacks and Hispanics who are NOT going to vote for President Obama have already made up their minds. Those who do not want/need/rely upon handouts most likely have good private sector jobs (or at least ordinary private sector jobs) and have probably been voting republican for some time. Like it or not, the black and Hispanic communities in this country votes time and time again for more and more handouts for THEMSELVES. This is seen simply by examining voting trends- blacks and Hispanics traditionally vote Democrat. Democrats know this and continue to offer more and more handouts and the expense of tax payers.

  5. Not a "news piece?" Well the facts pertaining to black and hispanic unemployment are certainly news. That Republicans will be wasting their time courting these voters has been shown via election stats for quite some time.

And "biased?" Yes, you're absolutely right! 'Coach is Right' has always been biased in favor of fact and truth.

  6. Maybe we ought to compare the argument of the environmentalists that "it will take ten years to benefit from any drilling now" with "blacks and Hispanics aren't worth courting – they'll never vote for a Republican." I see passion among my Latino friends. Wish I could say the same for my white friends in most cases. Maybe we shouldn't be like Democrats who pass out goodies and forget their constituents until election time. Evangelization is a full time job.
