Newt Gingrich is a unique person. He can simultaneously be both the smartest person and dumbest person in a room depending on the questions he is asked.
When Gingrich is “smart” he can be great. His 1994 Republican Revolution was stunning, and it proved how smart he can be. Nevertheless, it also ultimately proved he should never be the President of the United States.
The leadership he showed in pulling off his amazing transformation of the House can only be described as great Instrumental leadership. Instrumental leaders can gather forces to achieve a mission and bring about revolutionary change.
There is, however, another type of leadership which becomes vital after victory is achieved. That is Administrative Leadership which requires effective stewardship of the prize. Considering the follow examples establishes Gingrich can show plenty of the former, but very little of the later.
Whining about his seat on Air Force One
In 1995, Gingrich set the tone for his “Open Mouth Insert Foot” approach to be Speaker of the House. When Israeli leader Yitzhak Rabin died, Bill Clinton invited him to fly to the funeral ceremony in Air Force One. True to his low rent character, Clinton had Gingrich seated in the very rear of the plane and never spoke to him. This incident was a double dumb situation for Gingrich.
Not only did he foolishly hand the media a bat to beat him over the head with by whining about his seating, but he compounded his “foot in mouth” stupidity by actually admitting to his enemies in the media the snub was a factor in his decision to shut the government down several weeks later. The hapless schmuck even conceded to his media enemies that he “sounded petty.”
Loves those stupid phrases
During an October 1995 speech, Gingrich used the incredibly stupid phrase: “wither on the vine” to describe the process by which the nation would transition away from the Medicare/Medicaid system. That the rest of the phrase “… because we think people are voluntarily going to leave” was NEVER reported. Gingrich should have foreseen that, but he was too dumb to anticipate that twist of his words.
Gingrich surpassed himself for using stupid and destructive language when he attacked Paul Ryan’s proposed budget plan as being “radical’ and ‘right-wing social engineering.” This will make the tone deaf Mister Gingrich the star of thousands of Democrat TV spots attacking Ryan’s plan.
In the end Gingrich will be part of the presidential process as he has always dreamed of, but he won’t be a candidate. He’ll be the hammer the liberals will use to pulverize Ryan’s plan and fellow Republicans. Gingrich sure knows how to turn a stupid phrase, doesn’t he?

Newt lost me when he sold out completely to entice Republican party, Northeastern elites to consider him for the nomination. Playing footsie with San Fran Nan and endorsing Scozzafava–what a disgrace.
Tax Cuts – As Explained By A Democrat
If you don’t understand the Democrats’ version of tax cuts (and you are not alone), maybe this will help explain it:
The Difference Between Republicans and Democrats
A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican’s pocket and got out twenty dollars. He kept $15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person five.
Now you understand the difference between Republicans & Democrats.
50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was then due.
The team was about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee’s interpretation of fairness.
After all, if the refunds were made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the ticket holders of the most expensive tickets. That would be unfair and unconscionable.
People in the $10 seats will get back $15, because they have less money to spend. Call it an “Earned Income Ticket Credit.” Persons “earn” it by demonstrating little ambition, few skills and poor work habits, thus keeping them at entry-level wages.
People in the $25 seats will get back $25, because that’s only fair.
People in the $50 seats will get back $1, because they already make a lot of money and don’t need a refund. After all, if they can afford a $50 ticket, then they must not be paying enough taxes.
People in the $75 luxury seats will have to pay another $50, because they have way too much to spend.
The people driving (or walking) by the stadium who couldn’t afford to watch the game will get $10 each, even though they didn’t pay anything in, because they need the most help (sometimes known as Affirmative Action!).
Now do you understand?
If not, contact Representative Nancy Pelosi, or Hillary Clinton for assistance.

A Democrat found a magic genie's lamp and rubbed it. The genie said, "I will grant you one wish." He said, "I wish I were smarter". So the genie made him a Republican.
