Barack McGovern Obama is in trouble. He has been caught up in his own press clippings and now seems to be like a child trying out his lying skills on his parents. His speech, in which he tried to defend and explain the racist anti America sermons he has listened to from his pastor, was a true paradox. On one hand he was quite eloquent but on the other, the premise of his speech was ridiculous. It was like listening to a fifteen year old deliver Shakespeare very well, but spoil the moment by insisting he wrote it all himself.
The senator from Illinois, who was catapulted to his position by a series of fortunate turns of events, never was anything more than a con man selling himself as an authentic Black victim of White racism while he lived in Hawaii and went to the finest schools in “racist” America.
He is half White and half Black so in the corrupt world of Chicago politics, that means taking money from a White criminal during the week and attending services at a classic “hate Whitey” Black church on Sunday. If he had kept his head down and stayed in Chicago, he would never have been unmasked. But he did not, and now he has been found out.
His words will not be long remembered, but there meaning will be. No one who was not voting for him had an epiphany at his words and has now switched to being a devoted fan. Not in this lifetime.
The heartland will remember only that he tried to establish a moral equivalence between the hate preached in his church and the love taught in true Christian churches. Heartland America will not forget and was not swayed.
