Why did Romney lose the Catholic vote? Look no further than USCCB head Cardinal Dolan of NYC

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

The election of New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the bishop of the Archdiocese of New York, to lead the United State Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) was seen as a very hopeful sign by many who are concerned with the state the Catholic Church in America. I was one of those hopeful Catholics, but alas I have had my nose rubbed in reality: Cardinal Dolan has proved to be little more than an affable dupe at best and a dangerously misguided classic liberal at worst.

During the lead up to the presidential election Cardinal Dolan essentially abandoned the effort to bring the truth to the 30 million adherent Catholics who regularly hear Mass.

While one post- election survey found adherent Catholics had voted for Mitt Romney by a wide margin Romney’s total did not break 60% and that short fall can be directly placed at the feet of Cardinal Dolan for his failure to … Continue Reading:Why did Romney lose the Catholic vote? New poll: Catholics to vote3 to 1 against Obama; explains why Cardinal Dolan not welcome at DNC

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

In the Leftist controlled media stories are shouted if they are helpful to Democrats, whispered if they are bad news for Democrats. This is an absolute axiom.

This is why a new poll a new poll commissioned by the American Life League (ALL) is so important. The poll conducted between August 15 and 19 spoke to 900 self-identified Catholic registered voters. There are few English language superlatives that can accurately portray the findings of this survey.

“Earth shaking” “Sea Change” “Devastating” read them and take your pick.

The story was whispered on a recent NPR segment and here’s why.

A stunning 27% of Catholics told the interviewers they support Barack Obama. This is a 27 point fall from 2008.

Seventy four percent (74%) of Catholic men over 50 refuse to support Obama.

Moreover an almost identical 25% of Catholic men under … Continue Reading:New poll: Catholics to vote3 to 1 against Obama; explains why Cardinal Dolan not welcome at DNC

It’s started: “This is a big moment for Catholic voters to step back from their party affiliation.”

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

America’s Catholics were once among the Democrats’ largest voting blocs. This year that advantage is gone as Catholics are poised to turn against them.

In May when Pope Benedict assigned Bishop William E. Lori to be the new spiritual leader of the Diocese of Baltimore, America’s oldest diocese, he was sending a message directly to Barack Obama and his Democrats – especially elected Catholic Democrats.

Bishop Lori chairs the U.S. Conference of Bishops’ Ad Hoc Committee For Religious Liberty, which was formed specifically by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the organization’s head, to oppose Gay marriage and combat Obamacare’s mandates aimed at forcing Catholic employers to include contraception and abortion in their workers’ healthcare packages.

Upon being named to his new post, Bishop Lori said he planned to confront Maryland’s putatively Catholic Governor Martin O’Malley about his support for Gay “marriage.”

“The church has clearly and consistently taught … Continue Reading:It’s started: “This is a big moment for Catholic voters to step back from their party affiliation.”

That sound you hear is Pennsylvania slipping away from the Democrats

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

When you hear talk about Barack Obama winning Pennsylvania in November remember that’s all it is: “talk.” Obama won Pennsylvania 55/44 in 2008 beating the hapless John McCain by 620,478 votes. But that was then and this is now.

There are several serious obstacles to an Obama victory not the least of which is the Commonwealth’s successful efforts to foreclose a large amount of Democrat voter fraud.

The Pennsylvania voter ID law has the potential to singlehandedly stop 750,000 fraudulent votes; more than enough to overcome Obama’s margin in 2008 if all other factors were equal which they are not.

Pennsylvania’s Democrats are running in circles bumping into walls trying to figure out how they can get anything like the number of fraudulent voters they need to win. They realize relying on a court’s finding that the law is unconstitutional is iffy at best. Pennsylvania’s Photo ID … Continue Reading:That sound you hear is Pennsylvania slipping away from the Democrats

Aflac Obama’s electoral see /saw: raises one group’s enthusiasm but lowers another’s enthusiasm

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Isn’t it fun watching the Panderer – in – Chief, Aflac Obama run around his sinking row boat like the duck in the TV commercial stepping on a hole here and fill a hole there with his wings? As the pages fall off the calendar, Obama races from one pandering opportunity to another.

First he is against Gay “marriage” because he wants to sway enough White voters (mostly blue collar Democrats) to get reelected. Then he needs money so he “evolves” on Gay “Marriage.” Gays who make up 3% of voters and will vote 99% for Obama anyway coughed up about $1.5 million and the media “Ooohed and Aahed,” but to what end?

But his “evolution” on Gay “marriage” lost Obama about 20% of his African American base in a poll done immediately after his announcement. Blacks make up about 12% of voters. Moreover, African Americans’ … Continue Reading:Aflac Obama’s electoral see /saw: raises one group’s enthusiasm but lowers another’s enthusiasm
