As everyone knows New York State Congressman Peter King Republican from Nassau County, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, is planning to start an overdue hearing on radical Islam in America. Of course, the anti-American progressives and liberals in the media and the White House are up in arms at the thought of shedding light upon their friends.

Protests, sit-ins, and street marches are in Rep. Luis Gutierrez’s battle plan this week as he threatens to go rogue to get the Dream Act passed. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are making one last stand for their lame duck action plan to ram through amnesty for millions of children of illegal aliens under the guise of granting college credits for Democrat votes.
“To hear Gutierrez tell it Hispanic leaders are about to stage a full tilt campaign of direct action, like the African American civil rights movement of the l960′s,” says Daily Beast blogger Bryan Curtis. Gutierrez, another Chicago Way political player, is demanding the lame duckers make immigration reform happen now, or else “A Latino revolt” is in the offing reports Curtis.

The snarky Left demands the new conservative Congress be specific about the defunding and cuts they want to accomplish to start cleaning up the mess the Democrats have caused. Because liberals know so little about genuine economic theory (as opposed to the feel good dribble taught in so many college classrooms), they believe that if THEY can’t think of programs to defund they don’t exist.
Here are a few programs that can be cut or completely defunded without the slightest ripple being felt by the average American.
The Western Area Power Administration was established on Dec 21, 1977 and gets 100% of its funding from federal and local governments. A check of its website indicates it hasn’t even updated its history page in almost three years because it still talks about its thirtieth anniversary. Just one week from the election the desperate Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party of Minnesota released what has been rightfully called, “The most anti-Catholic political ad you’ll ever see.” The ad depicts a man wearing the Roman collar which is emblematic of Catholic priests with a pin on his chest that reads “ignore the poor.”
It is one thing to make such a vicious charge when there is some evidence that it might be true, but quite a different matter as it relates to the record of the Catholic Church in its charitable efforts.
Why would these people make such a charge? The only answer can be the Church’s refusal to sanction abortions. How big is THE wave? It looks like the Republicans can now actually win one or both of the Houses of the Alabama legislature. Alabama is now controlled by Democrats with a 5 seat advantage in her Senate and a 15 seat advantage in its lower chamber, yet a new report from the National Conference of State Legislatures indicates both of those margins are about to vanish.
Observers are also looking for control to change hands in the New Hampshire and New York State Senates. Given the general conditions in New York where the Census numbers will reduce the number of Congressional seats by at least two and Democrats could lose eleven seats, the one third GOP share of the redistricting process this win would provide is very valuable.
