The all have defects; so can a brokered convention be the answer?

By Ron Reale

Those who scoff at Newt Gingrich’s plans for space should keep in mind similar arguments were made against John Kennedy when he proposed his moon quest.

JFK had a cold war going on, but still saw the necessity of going to space.

Today, our President will face China in the race to a moon base.

Does anyone really want China controlling space from a militarized moon base? Or controlling all the minerals available on the moon?

Along with the great idea proposed by Rick Santorum concerning Manufacturing companies and Capital Gains taxes, a US/China “base race” would make America’s economy take off like a rocket.

Between the manufacturing jobs created throughout the country and NASA in the southern states building our own moon base facilities, and those spurred by re-invigorating the American oil industry by creating the Keystone pipeline and allowing drilling, (and frakking) in the US and off … Continue Reading:The all have defects; so can a brokered convention be the answer?

The InSantorum illusion

By Barry Sanders, staff writer

Apart from not having the first delegate commitment, exactly what have “victories” in Iowa, Missouri, Colorado and Minnesota acknowledged?

First: that participants in caucuses are underwhelmed to voice their solidarity with their higher ground constituents. This “group think” forum is void, by necessity, of critical thought. This is not to say that the caucus forum is the antithesis of the primary process. It is always much easier when espousing your “heartfelt commitment” to an issue to take the high road when exposed to the crowd in a non-binding farcical display. These same “voters” will doubtlessly “rethink” that stance when confronted with the isolation of a voting booth. It’s easy to sound righteous in a public forum. Even easier when that cry is meaningless. It’s an entirely different matter when the fate of one’s country hangs in the balance.

Second: that voters will turn out when a perceived mandate is on … Continue Reading:The InSantorum illusion

Turing “The World upside down” once again with a Gingrich victory

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

The British and their colonial quislings once mocked American patriots with their song, “The world turned upside down.” In the First American Revolutionary War we stuffed their smug arrogance down their throats and turned THEIR world upside down by defeating them at Yorktown.

Now as the patriots of today we have to fight a Second American Revolution and turn Barack Obama and his quisling Republicans’ world “upside down” by electing Newt Gingrich.

In the first Revolution only a third of us were willing to fight for our freedoms. Our enemies were the British and about a third of our fellow colonists who were quislings and wanted to win favor with the British oppressors.  The remaining third hid in their basements waiting to see which flag to come up waving.

Today as we fight the Second American Revolutionary War we have a similar division among us. We of the TEA party movement … Continue Reading:Turing “The World upside down” once again with a Gingrich victory

‘Patria o muerte, venceremos’ and other great thoughts from Willard Romney

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

In sports the most frustrating mistakes are unforced errors. Newt Gingrich is not the only candidate who makes unforced errors, although you would never know it from the media and the Republican establishment. Here’s a look at a few of Willard Romney’s unforced errors.

While trying to win favor with anti-Castro South Florida Cuban Americans Romney thought he would get the job done by saying, “’Patria o muerte, venceremos.” It means “Fatherland or death, we shall overcome.” Here’s what Fidel Castro had to say about the phrase, “Hugo Chavez has tried to steal an inspiring phrase — ‘Patria o muerte, venceremos.’ It does not belong to him. It belongs to a free Cuba.”

Gaffe? Maybe but Romney speaks Spanish. Was he just babbling or was this another flash of the progressive Romney hiding under his carefully crafted facade?

We’ve heard that Gingrich has said good things about Franklin Roosevelt. The video shows … Continue Reading:‘Patria o muerte, venceremos’ and other great thoughts from Willard Romney

Can Underdog Barack Obama catch Newt Gingrich?

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

“I’m absolutely confident we’re going to win this thing,” Barack Hussein Obama whistled past the graveyard and told a gathering of 50 people at Spike Lee’s house the other night.

Apparently Barack hasn’t read the polls in quite a while, but then again neither have the likes of Karl Rove Ann Coulter or George Will.

Just a month ago in a Christmas week release designed to make certain it was lost, Gallup unveiled an ugly picture for Barack Obama and the Republican establishment. Gallup says there is not only a high level of enthusiasm for throwing Obama out (64% of conservative Republicans are very enthusiastic about voting next November) but there is an alarmingly low amount of energy within Obama’s core voters – “non- White” enthusiasm is at just 32%.

Also included in Gallup’s report based on its findings in Obama’s 12 absolutely must have states, was news … Continue Reading:Can Underdog Barack Obama catch Newt Gingrich?
