Its last appeal turned down, Illinois may no longer legally prevent Concealed Carry

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has told Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan for the last time that she MUST honor the Constitution of the United States by doing away with her state’s ban on the concealed carry of firearms.

It was back in December of last year that a 3 judge panel of the Court found the Illinois law banning concealed carry to be unconstitutional. “The Supreme Court has decided that the [2nd] amendment confers a right to bear arms for self-defense, which is as important outside the home as inside,” wrote 7th Circuit Judge Richard Posner, paraphrasing the opinion of S.C. Justice Samuel Alito. Naturally, the scrupulously liberal Madigan then petitioned the entire 10 member court, hoping that the ruling might be overturned. But the full court refused to reconsider the ruling of the panel. (1)

Chicago: the cesspool that gave us Barack Obama

Chicago, the city that launched the career of President Barack

Obama, now has the dubious title of being the nation’s most corrupt

city, according to a lengthy study done by University of Illinois

Political Science Professor, Dick Simpson. He is pointing to the fact

that “the Chicago area has logged more public corruption convictions

by federal prosecutors than any other city.” Comprising the two

worst crime zones, Simpson says are “the governor’s mansion in

Springfield and the city council chambers down the hall.” His

research revealed a staggering 1,531 convictions since 1976!

Additionally, Illinois is the only state which will have two

former governors in federal prison at the same time when former

Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich reports to Littleton, Colorado’s

“Arm Yourselves Citizens,” says Cop to people of Chicago.

“Arm yourselves citizens. You are about to become the most unusual social experiment in history.” (1)

Such is the advice the owner of police blog “Second City Cop” gives to the residents of Rahm Emanuel’s crime ridden city of Chicago. Months after inheriting a demoralized and shrinking police force from outgoing mayor Richard Daley, Rahm Emanuel has charged newly appointed Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy with slashing $190 million from the Department budget.

Yet during last year’s campaign, Emanuel promised voters he would, “…put 1000 more officers on the beat and erase a more than $635 million city of Chicago budget shortfall without cutting police, raising taxes or using one-time revenues.” (2)

How does he intend to perform these feats of financial legerdemain?
