The Real Obama Doctrine: Whites cannot be victims

By Doug Book, staff writer

Since everyone’s favorite agent of hope and change took Executive Branch control of the agency once known as the JUSTICE Department, judgments against Black Panthers for voter intimidation have been thrown out, Department attorneys have been told to ignore cases involving black defendants and white victims and the Voting Rights section under Julie Fernandes refuses to require the purging of felons, illegals and the dead from state voter rolls. But just in case anyone believes these to be innocent, one-time perversions of law and decency, the Obama/Holder team of Fernandes and Tom Perez has achieved yet another coup of legal bastardization.

Schools in Fairfield County, South Carolina have been “…plagued for years with a poor academic record, accusations of financial impropriety…ineffective leadership of the school board and the repeated requests from constituents, both African American and white, for assistance in improving the district’s schools.”  In order to provide assistance to the majority black district schools, Democrat legislators from Fairfield County petitioned the state legislature to allow the addition of two appointed members to the county’s elected 7 member school board (six of whom are black.) But as South Carolina is covered under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, the prospective change had to be submitted to the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

Section 5 requires a Civil Rights Division review of “…changes in ‘voting’ procedures to ensure that the change has neither the purpose nor the effect of discriminating…against those voters who are a minority in a particular jurisdiction…” And that review objected to (disallowed) the addition of two members to the school board because the proposal “…reduces the proportion of positions on the board to which African Americans can elect representatives of choice…” In short, Fernandes and Perez (who signed the review) decided that “the sole impact of the [legislature's] decision is to reduce the level of electoral influence that African American voters have on the board.”

The tiny problems with this decision–the appointment of two school board members has nothing whatever to do with “voting procedures.” And even more glaring, Perez and his Civil Rights Division treated blacks as the minority, when in fact the county has a 59% black and 41% white population split! The fact that whites are the minority made no difference to Obama’s “Justice Warriors”, just as the fact that whites were prevented from voting by 3 thug Black Panthers turned out to be perfectly acceptable.

Google this disgrace and you’ll find little said about it. Now imagine the media/Democrat party outcry if such a decision had come from a Bush Justice Department in a county with population percentages reversed.
