The Stanford Group ponzi swindle stands second only to the Madoff ponzi scheme as the biggest in history. As revealed in 2009, Allen Stanford swindled over $8 billion from his investors by selling them worthless securities.
Stealing $8 billion is something that requires help; you really can’t do it alone. In the case of Allen Stanford he had help from men who now have “extensive financial and political ties to Tagg Romney (Mitt’s son) and Spencer Zwick his chief fundraiser”, according to a new report by Lee Fang posted on a far Leftist website. Solamere a firm financed and founded with $10 million of Mitt Romney’s money and managed by Tagg Romney and Zwick. Solamere is connected to Stanford because three of Allen Stanford’s salesmen Tim Bambauer, who served as a “Managing Director” for Stanford, Deems May (a former NFL player for nine years), and Brandon Phillips who was a salesman for Stanford, joined Tagg Romney to help run Solamere Advisors, a financial products firm. Because these three sold financial products for Stanford, Romney’s promise to repeal Dodd- Frank becomes somewhat suspect and potentially grounds for non stop media attacks on Romney.
Classic Clinton-speak
In classic Clinton-speak, Romney’s campaign spokeswoman recently made this statement about this matter: “Mitt Romney has no ties to the Stanford Financial Group or any of its activities…” This is not reassuring since there is no allegation that Romney was had “ties” to Stanford, but rather that his son Tagg and Chief fundraiser Zwick now do.
Maybe this explains it
This is all well known in the high roller/ big donor community. A recent analysis of Romney’s campaign finance reports developed that three out of four of those who have made large donations to Mitt Romney in the past are conspicuously absent now. Moreover the enthusiasm among these big donors is lacking as proved by the fact that less than half of those who immediately sent him a donation when he first announced in 2007 have contributed this time.
So which scandal has the greatest potential for killing its candidate’s chances for winning now and eventually next November? Is it one that shows those closely connected to Romney are in business with men who may yet be forced to testify to defend their involvement in a Ponzi or; one that features vague charges that “would have been brought” as is the case with the latest “victim” of Herman Cain?
The Democrats’ pals in the media are well aware of the facts involving Solamere and the Romneys. They know who Solamere employs. Is it any wonder they want Romney to win the Republican nomination?

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The best we can hope that the rino's and crooks do themselves in so they'll get out of our pockets.
Coach ! Another fine expose ! I'm surprised that Perry didn't "leak" this one also, Like the Cain "hits".
All these electioneering smear-jobs are certain to really anger the voters. This is becoming more like the political version of the t.v. show "Survivor". Who's going to get sent to Redemption Island next ?
The pols and the pollsters then wonder why we can't abide or trust the majority of our elected officials.
Between the campaign lies, their "white-paper" over-reaches and half-truths, the seamy associations, and the tar-and-feathering of rivals; it's a bloody wonder any of us bother to keep our hearing-aids turned up to "group"; seems wiser to let the batteries go dead…. just one way to "mute" the yammering !
Y'know what REALLY ticks me off about all this though ?
Despite the fact that the Supreme Court has ruled that Primaries "belong" exclusively to the Political Parties, Americans are forced to pay with their hard- earned tax-dollars for the G.D. pomp, "fluff and feathers", insanity and "exclusivity" which the Primary elections represent !!
When is THAT bit of political patronage extorted from the citizenry gonna' stop?
