Threat of Fast and Furious pay back claims DOJ ally of Eric Holder

by Doug Book,  staff writer

The man who assured Senator Charles Grassley that no “gunwalking” had taken place during Operation Fast and Furious has just resigned from the Department of Justice. “The allegation…that ATF ‘sanctioned’ or otherwise knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons to a straw purchaser who then transported them to Mexico—is false,” wrote Assistant Attorney General Ron Weich in his now infamous February 4th, 2011 letter to congress. Nine months later the DOJ retracted that letter, advising congress it contained “inaccuracies.”

It was just 48 hours after news that a Contempt of Congress charge against Attorney General Eric Holder would be put to a House vote that Weich decided to end his Department of Justice career. Confirmed by a 2009 Senate vote to his post in the Office of Legislative Affairs, Weich is the first of Barack Obama’s Main Justice, political appointees to resign as a probable result of Fast and Furious involvement.

But the Department’s Fast and Furious straw boss and cover-up technician is still at large. Last week, Eric Holder asked to meet with Congressman Darrell Issa prior to Wednesday’s Contempt vote in the House. Still claiming that Weich’s denials of ATF misdeeds were the result of misinformation foisted on the Department by Phoenix, US Attorney Dennis Burke, Holder advised Issa that he is “…prepared to provide documents that, while outside the scope of the [House] Committee’s interest in the inappropriate tactics used in Fast and Furious, are responsive to how the Department’s understanding of the facts regarding the matter evolved throughout 2011…”

Of course like everything else the Attorney General has assured congress of over the past two decades, it was a lie.

Yesterday, Barack Obama claimed executive privilege permitted him to seal every Fast and Furious document previously subpoenaed by the Issa Committee. It was an act which reeked of the desperation from which his Royal Highness and assorted Regime capos are presently suffering. It also means that, for the moment, Eric Holder has been once again spared the just deserts of his decades of criminal exploits.

As a matter of fact it’s remarkable how often the Attorney General has been able to duck responsibility for his many felonies. Holder claimed before a congressional committee that it was someone else who REALLY arranged for the pardons of FALN terrorists and international thug Mark Rich during the final days of the Clinton presidency. And as for the despicable cover-up of Kenneth Trentadue’s murder at the hands of the FBI, the exposure of  which could have blown the lid off of the federal government’s role in the Oklahoma City bombing? Well that never really happened at all, handwritten meeting notes from Eric Holder’s office notwithstanding.

Eric Holder is a twenty year cancer on the Republic, his calculated disregard for law and justice evidence of a wholesale contempt for the people of the United States and abiding belief in his own divine privilege. God willing, in Darrell Issa he has finally met a man determined enough to put him away.

How many of you understand this pervasive lawlessness goes straight to the W.H.
Does Witholder think that Bo Jingles will save his ase.
Barry has way too much to lose i.e. charges for treason.
What Americans must demand is the exposure of this highly organized Govt conduit of lawlessness: that connect all agencies throughout the Federal branches sworn to protect America.
That would also include all (memos) handed down form; Dept of Homeland Security to all Border States, to "stand down" for arrests.
That would include ATF, from John Morton's oders, to his agents," to stand down "on outstanding warrants and arrests for convicted illegal felons.
That would include all other major players from the rouge, Dept ATT. General's office, working with our Justice Dept, under Bo's direction to allow "stays " for thousands of illegals's with convictions that include vehicular homicide per ex. But nobody speak about it .
All mass media is silenced on these topics and Americans are being killed under Bo's Govt. protectionism. But no one speaks about it.

You're right, Carol. Also I wonder if everyone can appreciate how much is owed the DOJ whistle blowers/leakers who provided the wiretap applications (among other things) to the Issa Committee. This one thing began the contempt of congress vote as it supplied John Boehner with the necessary courage to schedule it! Without these people we would still be stumbling along with Holder lying to committees every month or so and nothing coming of it.
Now the president has shown his degree of complicity and Holder will be found in contempt, all thanks to one or two people.

Yes; These brave people did the correct thing against incredible odds and certainly have my respect as well.
It began with Brain Terry's murder and the continuation with thousands more, when illegals from around the world, rights, are upheld in deference to Amrican citizens.
18 months of stalled, witholding of evidence and "Boehner'" ( ummmm showed courage ) to schedule it."
Over 2 million Americans emailed him en masse, so he wouldn't cave-in.
Kind of hard to ignore even form the the golf links:
The conduit to el senor, Barry O, IS the elephant in the room, period.
Lets see IF this Comt has the nards to connect the evidence.
We're not waiting for a miracle, we're waiting for justice .

  • SUPREME COURT — Talk about moral, spiritual and cultural implosion. Fox and ABC are trying to argue that it's unconstitutional to ban obscenities and nudity from broadcast TV. If they win, watch the floodgates open to an even more rapid meltdown of cultural standards in the media.

That SC decision is due out any day now. Along with the ObamaCare and Arizona immigration law rulings, it will come out next week. the SC always saves it biggest stuff for the end of the session.

Here's a suggestion: Darrell Issa for US Attorney General in the Romney Administration! I can't think of anyone more dogged, disciplined, and scandal-free…

    • Oldpuppymax

I think it's a good idea. Question is, would he want to take all the hits the liberal media and Democrats would level at him, especially after his year of "cruelly" attacking their boy in the DOJ?

      • Joanne Edmiston

Oldpuppy, Dearpuppy !! you know that I have enormous respect for your writing, and for you personally……but mighten you have ended your reply to grace_nearing with word more appropriate to your true beliefs regarding the 'lame-stream' media, and any grief they might mete out to Rep. Issa if he somehow (miraculously and as unlikely as that would be), accepted a position as chief of DOJ ?….I could see you more easily saying something along the lines of…. " Issa's a big boy, and tough as they come….he can take care of himself ; and, other than personally not wanting to see him subjected to their ( the drive-by media's), constant carping…. if he excelled at his new appointment and kept his "nose clean" who give's a rat's backside what the media think of him (or anyone, for that matter )?'
That would be more like the Fabulouspuppy I've come to know !!!!
Just 'pulling your chain' good naturedly, my friend….and thank you SOOOOOOO much for all the wonderful articles on this, and other issues ! Keep up your fine work…we are blessed to have your observations !
I suppose it would be too much to hope that the "retirement" of Asst. A.G. Weich would begin a trend at DOJ….with the next in line to be Holder from the "Just Us Department".

        • Oldpuppymax

          Jo,

Nah. As you know, the best trend at DOJ would be started with a Romney win!! My fear is that he'll not replace ALL the people who need thrown out of that corrupt outfit. There are far more than just political appointees who need to get gone.
Thanks for all the great words!! Maybe Issa would like the AG job, regardless of blowback. It certainly carries FAR more weight than that of one lone Congressman. Problem is, I doubt the liberal Romney would appoint a conservative who would probably do battle with him throughout his first 4 years!

          all the best!
