When Robert Baillio was pulled over by a member of the Shreveport police
department, he learned that Shreveport Mayor and “Mayors Against Illegal
Guns” member Cedric Glover believes firearms belong only in the hands of
the police.
In fact Glover is such a believer that his officers are trained to identify
likely gun owners for the purpose of harassing them into giving up the
practice of driving while armed!
The officer who detained Baillio–ostensibly for the improper use of a turn
signal–later admitted it was actually the display of bumper stickers on the
young man’s truck which prompted the stop.
One sticker read; “NRA Member”, another; “Armed we are Citizens,
Unarmed we are Subjects.” And sure enough, upon pulling him over, the
officer’s first question to Baillio was: “Are you armed?” The subject of
turn signals never came up.
Baillio’s pistol, immediately seized when he told the officer he had a gun
in the glove compartment, was returned when Baillio was permitted to go on
his way.
Why do liberal politicians like Cedric Glover have such contempt for an
armed public?
Two centuries before the left began portraying militias as the shadowy
refuge of a lunatic fringe, these citizen groups were charged with the
security of both town and state, their members required to own a weapon and
be proficient in its use.
But as the size and power of government have increased, its trust in an
armed public has turned to contempt and fear. And with the claim that
weapons rather than criminals pose the greatest threat to public safety,
liberal politicians have for decades sought to disarm American citizens.
For it is their power and keen desire for more which the left believes to
be threatened by the widespread ownership of arms, not the safety of the
public. After all, it is not criminals the left seeks to disarm with
endless calls for more repressive gun control, but those who threaten the
will of this would-be ruling class.
Thankfully the Founders made provision for the God given right to defend
life and liberty by crafting the 2nd Amendment. For these men knew that,
only when armed do the people have the means of preserving their liberty
from the designs of a tyrant.
The Founders feared that liberty would be jeopardized by the power of
government.
Today, government fears its power is being jeopardized by the people.
Robert Baillio’s message is right. Unarmed we ARE subjects. And we must
never permit that to happen.

Semper Fi and i agree with you whole heartedly. the left is alone and will be LEFT alone if they continue this infringement on our constitutional rights. The should study the numbers of patriotic Americans and those of us that have served under the oath to protect the Constitution while in the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement or just the average Joe that hunts and loves GOD and Country not to mention the women that are members of this great American group of Patriots

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. >From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
When the "hunters", like the cops, become prey themselves; they have a tendency to turn "testy". That is understandable. What isn't acceptable are the Buford T. Justice type of back-water ideologues; the boondocks cop-shop philosophers, of American towns and burgs launching unconstitutional harassment campaigns against legally armed citizens simply because they believe they have "the power of the shield" to utilize force to make their positions clear.
Between the real criminals and the cops who use force capriciously against us it's hard to say which is worse.
Criminals don't have unions though.
There are some 120 million armed Americans today. Of this number, perhaps 5-6% would actually take up arms against a Tyrant working to overturn the right to keep and bear arms. Obama and his Operation Fast and Furious come to mind. We might live to see the day a 5th leftist on the Supreme Court succeeds in illegally doing away with the 2nd amendment. Talk about things breaking loose and hitting the fan…that would be the start.
